Yes. Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast of Wellness and Real Life Sisters Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we are gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath. And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more, more health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender, and more faith, and you want that for others too. So we can make this world a better place for us all to go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade CAO and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear to walls, more faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today. Welcome back to the podcast. We're gonna be diving into some big topics for this Scorpio Full Moon and Betane portal Tool Podcast. So take a breath, strap in, and just remember to go at your own pace. It's really important for me that these podcasts are trauma informed, which means not bypassing, you know, how we are really feeling, but also looking at some of the big topics in the world that affect us all and how to truly come into deep healing rather than just coping with challenges. So I'm really gonna offer some deep strategies to work with your body for healing. And real embodied change, not just managing your life, but actually transforming it. So hopefully you can stay with me for the gifts of this moon and this Beltane portal. And if you are not sure what Beltane is, we did a separate podcast, the last one on the cross quarter festival that is Betain, which happens around the 1st of May in the Northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere. Our cousins down there will be getting the South Wayne portal. Okay, but coming back to the Scorpio four Moon. So we've got the Scorpio four Moon landing in London, Friday, may the first at 6:23 PM in New York. 1:23 PM Los Angeles. Friday, may the first at 10:23 AM and we've got the energy of Beltane at the same time, so it's a real portal of fire and water, fire being connected to Beltane and Scorpio being a water to sign. Deep feeling, deeply transformative. And of course, with all full moons, we get this energy of release and therefore renewal when we are releasing. And it's not necessarily a subtle moon as all full moons do. They illuminate. But Scorpio likes us to look at our shadows. What has been hidden? It's a water moon that invites you into the very depths of you, of yourself. And a moon that asks for honesty, courage, and presence. And that's the work. You know, so many famous quotes about knowing thy I self, we can hide parts of ourselves from us, especially when they feel shameful. We reject them because we don't wanna be that person. We don't wanna wear that identity. So today we'll be exploring through, as always, a trauma informed lens, these subjects. But as I said, it's not if these subjects feel really big, don't overwhelm or push yourself, but ground into stability within you. So what I'll really be going in is the difference between coping and true healing. There can be an energy of manipulation and control around Scorpio, and I'll be talking about that as a stress or trauma response, the deeper truth about nervous system regulation, kind of a buzz word, let's go into what that can offer and also how it can hinder. I'll be throwing in some hormone and cyclical support here and how to work with this energy so that it feels real for you and however you want transformation, not just something that you are, a way that you're expected to be or society wants you to be, but something that feels real for you. So just imagine it, or maybe you looked up and you've seen that full moon and it really illuminates the sky. When you look just around the moon, it's so bright. It shows up so much nothing is hidden here. But unlike other full moons, Scorpio doesn't ask you to release outwardly. It asks us to go inwards and touch base with our feelings and to be with them. Because by being with them, we can metabolize them, metabolize what is alive within you. That feels really challenging and difficult to hold, not just about emotional feeling and expression for the sake of release, but about emotional presence for the sake of transformation. Because when you actually stay with something long enough, and this is about building your capacity, noticing your window of tolerance, how open or closed it feels, you can stay with something long enough to fully meet it. And when we fully meet things, they just naturally shift. Not like an old pattern because you forced it, because you went head first in and decided that there was gonna be change, but because you allowed it, this is alchemy, and I just want you to define alchemy outside of transforming base metals, alchemy in the body refers to the process of inner transformation. Where a person refines their consciousness, emotions, and physical being from a base state, and those base states can be fear driven, they can be protected by an ego or trauma based, and it takes it from a. base state to a golden state, awakened consciousness, wisdom, and wholeness, and there is something called the golden shadow. I will speak about it inside our full moon circle, which happens on the 30th of April at 7:30 PM UK time. That's always an open invitation to drop in and join us and pay what you feel you can, donation base or for our people that really want to follow each moon and see transformative patterns happening in their life. Then you can come inside the healing portal our membership. But what I've been really feeling into is Taurus season, which holds the Scorpio moon. So we've got a tourist sun. And Taurus is an earth sign, and obviously I'll do the Taurus New Moon episode as well, but that will come in about two weeks time. The Taurus is like a slow, steady bull chewing the cud in the field, grounded, paced, and. Also a lot of energy around like flower moons and Beltane asking us to feel into the simple pleasures of life. And then Scorpio comes in and goes,, you've been smelling the roses and looking at what's blooming. I'm gonna root you down. I'm gonna take you deeper so that you can have further blossoming, so that you can really go into the depths of yourself and become the vessel that can hold. Both safety, the safety of Taurus and stability, and also the transformation, which some sometimes can feel shaky, but also holding stability and change. They can both be present. And also regulation and expansion, and that's really true. Trauma-informed healing, not pushing way past your capacity, but expanding it gently over time and at your pace. So I wanted to bring in some cyclical wisdom here with the Beltane Samhain AIM portal because there's a deeper layer here for us women. Especially around the hormone cycle, and Beltane is often referred to as a portal of fertility, sensuality, life force and creation. And this is the external representation of what's happening in nature. But it happens within us as well. So whether you are a woman that is menstrual cycling or not, you'll feel these energies flowing through you at some point. So the energies are. Feeling this peak point of spring where the earth is blooming, fire is rising, and creation is imminent. So practically in the female hormone cycle, this phase is a bit like the late follicular phase. So that one just before ovulation, where estrogen's rising. Energy starting to increase. Confidence may expand. Libido might be awakening, and the body is preparing for creation, and there might feel more of a natural outward movement here, like a bit of magnetism and readiness. The body isn't forcing anything here. It's becoming more open and tuned into nature outside. And this is where you can begin to remember that you are not separate from nature. You are nature and your body is cycling in the same rhythms of the earth. So if you are past menopause, if you don't menstruate, if you like me, haven't had children, and you are not super tuned in or haven't been. What does ovulation feel like or what does a follicular phase feel like? At some point in your cycle, you're gonna feel more introvert and inward like that wintery energy. And there are some points in your cycle, your life cycle or your month cycle where you might feel like there's more hope, a little bit more energy, a slight opening out towards the world again. And that's what Beltane is. And when you start to notice these rhythms, something profound begins to shift in our mindset. It's like energy makes more sense. Because we can't be on and on fully all the time, emotions might feel less random and your needs become clearer 'cause we have different and varying needs. So instead of pushing through like low energy phases, you start to honor them. Instead of controlling your body saying it should show up, it should behave a certain way. Just begin to collaborate with it. And this really beautifully links to the nervous system. I really want you to speak about the nervous system being the servant and not the master because. Nervous system regulating is such a buzzword, and I use it myself a lot, and there can be too much of a focus on regulation, regulation, regulation. And yes, it does matter, but the deeper truth is your nervous system isn't the master, it is the servant. So let me just explain what I mean by that. Your nervous system has deep, deep intelligence. It was being formed in the womb. So before you were born, it was learning to respond and it is faithful and relentlessly responsive. So your nervous system is responding even when you're asleep or you're switched off also when you're hypervigilant or vigilant. And it is organizing not only around who you believe yourself to be, but also around how you are relating to your own natural rhythms. If you are overriding your body, pushing through the seasons or your cycles and ignoring your needs, your body, your system will respond, and usually with a safety or stress response like bracing, contraction. Protection, and this is definitely not a fault. It's an adaptive process, and you could spend years regulating your nervous system, and that might mean that you're still living out of alignment with your body's truth. And this is around identifying as someone who isn't in your highest cell. If you identify and believe, like you always have to be the strong one or always be busy or always be the one that has your shit together. Perhaps you are saying like, oh, I'm lazy, or I'm not good enough. Your nervous system will be responding to that. And full moons asked us to look at our identities, our patterns, our limitations, really. So please look at them, this moon and I would suggest doing this, with support around you. If you're truly ready to let go of the struggle, the pain, the blame, and the shame identity, you can have deep transformation under this moon and not just regulating and regulating and regulating your current self. That belief, she doesn't have her shit together, that just manages your nervous system, actually controls it and refines it. But when you look at those identities that you. Feel just about ready to shed. And you begin to remember, RE-member yourself as a cyclical, as whole, as part of nature. Something can soften enough so that transformation can take place. The system no longer has to fight you. It can begin to serve you because the self is primary always. And a word on healing versus coping because once you start to identify with your beliefs, you can start to notice where you are going into coping techniques instead of healing opportunities. So for many women, especially in midlife or around the perimenopause, we've become masters of coping, holding everything together, keeping our emotions in or managing them and keep life functioning. But let me remind you that coping is not healing. Remember that full moons are portals of healing and we don't want to bypass that opportunity in a world that desperately needs us to be connected and present and true and authentic. Typical coping, like for many of us, is like being busy, numbing, or distracting. Regulating just enough to keep going or avoiding what feels too much. So like these can show up as, and I mentioned these before shopping 'cause this gets us a little dopamine hit where we temporarily feel better but only temporarily scroll in. This will help us be, feel distracted, numb out. Drinking that can force relaxation. But we do need to know how to truly relax ourselves without that extra support. And over exercising. This is a good one to keep yourself busy and vaping. So you vapers, you know that taking a breath can be supportive, but my invitation is not to do one that is full of harmful substances. These are intelligent adaptations, but they keep you in cycles of management. Management, not transformation and healing. Asks, can you stay with yourself? Difficult feelings, challenging situations, even when it's really uncomfortable and talking of discomfort. I'm gonna go into some big topics. They might be. For you to stay with and be curious about. And some of them they could be tiny bit triggering. The topics are sexuality, power, and control. And as women, we can be oppressed and suppressed around these topics. But I wanted to talk about control and this as a stress response. It's what happens when your system doesn't feel safe enough to let go, let someone else take the reigns to relax into trust and go with the flow. And it can look like perfectionism, hyper independence. I've got this. I can do this on my own. I don't need anyone emotional suppression, managing outcomes, or others. So underneath control is fear. And of course this foreman moon's going to, illuminate anything that's not in vibration with our highest, ask you where are you controlling instead of trusting and where are you gripping instead of allowing. So say you are responsible for something in home, what if you soften the reins on that? If you've asked somebody to take on a project or a household chore and they're not doing it to the timescale that you've asked, can you soften and just trust that even though it is not done the way that you do it, it's gonna be okay anyway. And I've got a few post-it notes around my office that says, am I accepting or rejecting this moment? Or rather, am I trying to change what's happening or am I really allowing it to be, and this take me a long time to get here. 'cause sometimes I'll think, we could have been kinder there or we could have been more compassionate. And it's okay to reflect and try to want to do things different next time. But as long as we're not going into a stress response. At the time, we're working towards trusting. It's all working out for the highest good. Okay. Body parts under influence. This Moon Scorpio rules the sacral space, the hips, the womb space. I'm just recognizing here, not everybody has a wound, so it's just the space there, the hara and the reproductive system. So whether they, whether you have them in your body or not, you'll energetically have them. And this is your center of creativity, sexuality, power. and emotion. So this moon could bring up sexual body shame, jealousy and comparison, control dynamics, and suppressed desires. If this feels intense, overwhelming, or full on, this could be the doorway into reclamation for you. So rather than just s zoning out and going into your coping strategies. I'm gonna challenge my beautiful tribe into where can they reclaim their power, their sovereignty, and their truth. So some practical ways to work with this energy is to stay with a discomfort. Discomfort is not danger. So we must know the difference. If something's dangerous, then yes, we must protect. We must mobilize or fight flight. Freeze or fawn. That is a, that's the strategy for survival if there's danger, but danger and discomfort can be really confused if something's uncomfortable. Practice staying present could be through your breath orienting towards something that feels safe for you. Co-regulating, have honest conversations under this moon. It could just be with yourself. Looking in the mirror and having an honest conversation like Sarah, yeah, you could have done that thing better. It's okay because what you did at the time was as good as you thought it could be. Just speaking your truth, even if it feels vulnerable. So this might be with a family member in a relationship with a friend, with a colleague. Definitely interrupt coping patterns, the ones I spoke about before. Notice your go-to escapes and pause before acting and replace that coping with connection. So things like journaling with honesty, feeling the emotions in the body, co-regulate with safe people socially. Connect under full moon. Moon, that's what women did in red tents for many centuries. And practice somatic awareness. So being with what's present within you. A really nice practice that we'll do inside the full moon circle will be somatic sacral practices. So things like placing the hands on the lower belly, inhaling with an orange light, which is connected to the sacral chakra, and exhale to soften and release into whatever's present. And also you might like to do something that stretches you. So feeling the edges of fear and seeing if you can move past them. So much of our pain comes from resisting what is, you might like to sit with your journal or your hand on your heart and just ask, what am I resisting? What am I ready to surrender? We really can't control everything. It takes a lot of energy when we're trying to control, but you can soften into how you can meet your life. Again, another soul inquiry. What deep emotion is trying to surface that I have been afraid to feel? Who do I believe I need to be to stay safe? So I hope there's something there for you and I would really love to hear a takeaway from you, and I'd love to see some of you inside the space. We are gonna be online so that we can come from all over the world or all over the UK and join. If you can't come live at seven 30 on Thursday, the 30th of April, no problem. We'll just send the replay out to you. We will be doing an in-person event, which we spoke about, and this will be on Friday, 1st of May at 6:00 PM We're gonna be having a silent disco in the woods with cacao and just feeling into those inquiries that the Beltane portal offers. But for now, inviting you into this portal of truth, power, and transformation. Not through force, but through your presence, through your feelings, through staying. And through allowing yourself to be changed. And the full Moon ceremonies really are a space for safe emotional processing, nervous system support, somatic healing, and authentic connection. So details are in the show notes. Otherwise, sending you so much love. Thank you for being here. And remember your power. Thank you a million times, Ava, for joining us on this podcast episode.
