Yes. Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast of Wellness and Real Life Sisters Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we are gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath. And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more, more health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender, and more faith, and you want that for others too. So we can make this world a better place for us all to go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade cacao and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear to walls, more faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today. Welcome, beautiful soul. So good to be here with you on this Libra full Moon, and we'll be looking at this beautiful air sign through the lens of trauma informed nervous system, friendly somatic listening lens. So if none of that makes sense to you yet, here we go. I'll explain it all. Otherwise deepen in if this all speaks to you. But to begin with, I'm just gonna invite you back to you, to yourself, to your body, or to your breath. It's in these minute pauses where we tune in that we can create a deep connection with our own sense of what we need, how to meet that needs. and being really curious about how our body communicates with us, and sometimes we can't access that. That's the reality. But if you'd like to join me in a deep breath, maybe looking out to the distance or letting your eyes just rest on something that feels inviting inviting you into your breath to the space that you are in and your body, and if it feels safe enough, just let your shoulders soften and your jaw un unclench. We are entering the portal of the Libra Full Moon, so let's just do the practicals in London. We experienced this full moon on Thursday, April the second, at 3:11 AM in New York, 10:11 PM and Los Angeles 7:11 PM and I'm recording the night from Cape Town, so shout out to my South African friends. You will experience this full moon Thursday, April the second at 2:11 AM So four means why would we want to tune in? It's just a is a point on the lu nation where we might feel all more. Mm-hmm. The fullness of her light is now showing. Fullness of her expression and the fullness of her invitation. And they say that the sun is a very masculine energy and that life force lives within all of us no matter what gender we identify with. And the al feminine energy also flows within all of us. And this is like the lunar energy. And the strengths of the lunar energy is really things like creativity, emotional expression, softness, and strength in that softness and rest, rest and digest. But you may feel it more because when the moon is full, she draws our emotional tides to the surface of the body, just like she pulls on that big body of water on this planet. So anything that has been sitting quietly beneath unspoken unfelt begins to rise. And sometimes this can feel like a lot, but it's not to overwhelm you. This point on the cycle is reminding us to witness that we are Feeling beings. It's an culmination point, really. It's a healing point. Reorienting a coming home to yourself, and just a reminder that healing isn't about fixing, but it doesn't really happen when we avoid what we are feeling. It happens when we allow ourselves to gently be with what is there or what is here to feel it, to notice it, and just to be with it. That's what Somatic Processing is. So, like I already said, it's not fixing, it's not forcing, but it's gaining the skills of allowing sensation, emotion, and the truth of what's present. To move through the body as safely as it can, and at your own pace. The seasons, the turning of the earth, the planets, the stars, they remind us of pacing. The sun doesn't burn brightly. 24 hours. Sun allows the moon to come up and take over and spring softens into summer. So there's always a rhythm within us as well when it comes to our emotions or with our health. So if we allow it, if we be with it, there's space for acceptance and sometimes slowly. There's space for forgiveness. This point in the moon cycle is also really good for tuning into forgiveness, which is a deep medicine of its own, but a little around the energy of Libra. It's the constellation opposite Aries, where in airy season, Libra is an air sign, Aries is fire sign. So we get this balance, if you will, of the elements, but anything that's connected to air. Can be a representation of our thoughts, our mind, our nervous system. Air governs the realms of thought, perception and interpretation. The stories we tell ourselves about who we are and how we must be to belong. The moon doesn't just illuminate emotions. It really illuminates the mind and the quality of thoughts under this lunation I. The thought patterns show up in our nervous system. They shape our nervous system. So those quiet beliefs that say, I've got to be the peacekeeper, I shouldn't be the one to disrupt, and I've got to put others first over myself, and that becomes a pattern. The nervous system listens, and because your thoughts are not separate from your body, you feel them. These feelings can become tension. They can become contractions. They become the impulse to people please, or to withdraw, to abandon yourself in order to feel safe. But awareness is key, right? So if you recognize yourself here in any of these, just to say these patterns, they're highly intelligent. Like there's a deep inner knowing within you. We programmed into each cell for survival. So this is how your system learns to navigate the world. You're not alone here. Keeps you connected, ways to keep you safe. But this moon does invite us to question our beliefs and ask if these patterns are still true or are they simply familiar. And this lunattion Nation holds some energy of dynamic tension, emotional tending, empowered choice. It represents liberal, represents the scales of justice. So there's like a real theme of balance or imbalance here. So on the Libra New Moon, which comes in the Northern Hemisphere around autumn time, We can look at the seeds that we want to plant for our life to be more in balance. And by the time we revisit this moon here around springtime, we can notice what's in balance and what can I celebrate, but also what's no longer in balance. So this isn't a thing to shame you, but just to guide you back to where we can rebalance. It can show you specifically where you are being over giving. It's, connected to relationships. This moon where you've softened your truth and where you've chosen harmony over honesty. Hands up anyone. Sometimes it's appropriate, but when it becomes a deeply groove pattern in the body and we, we just don't tune into that, we just go on autopilot to choose harmony over honesty. We can really. Sell ourselves short, I guess. So under this lu Nation, I'll be asking my circle things like what feels real now? And we'll be tuning into the healing that's open somatically for the body. So not just thinking our way out of these patterns, but in noticing what your thoughts are doing within your body. You know, there might be fearful thoughts,. There might be stories where you believe people think a certain way about you and how do they land in your body. What thought feels loud within you right now and where do you feel it? Maybe this is a thought that's been going round and round and round.'cause some something are, 80% of thoughts are not new. So this will be building a pattern in your body. So maybe it's your sensitive stomach or your sore temples, or maybe it's in your throat. Maybe you often find yourself losing your voice perhaps. So somatic tuning in is about noticing it without needing to change it. That's how we begin to create safety within the body, which is is key in nervous system led healing by staying present with what is here instead of abandoning ourselves in it. Libra also governs the physical body like every moon does. And there is that free download on it. So link in the show notes, each sign you might feel something more in a certain part of your body. Cause that constellation, that part of the zodiac rules it. So Libra is about the kidneys, the bladder. The hips, the lumbar spine, the lower back, and the endocrine system. So my friends that are experiencing perimenopause symptoms, my invitation here is to deepen your self care. Now, there's a lot of advice around how to look after ourselves around the perimenopause. Certain hormones certainly get spotlights and information is key, right? What I'd say with Somatic Healing is we have the medicine, we know it, and if we tune in, we know what's right for us. Our environment plays a huge impact on our health, and this is unique for everybody and only you really knows it. So this is why we tune in every single circle and we notice what's going on. We set intentions, we check the progress on them, and then we tweak things around the full Moon or keep going. A little word on the kidneys. The kidneys filter what is essential within the body and what is not. You know, we'll excrete that through our urine if it's not helped by the kidneys. Just like your mind filters thought, the hips they hold, stored emotion and movement forwards. The lower back supports you literally as you move through life. So if you've been feeling tension here, tightness in your hips, fatigue in your lower back, or sensitivity in your system, your body may be speaking the same truth. This moon is illuminating and as I mentioned before, this is a moon of relationship ruled by the planet Venus connected to romance love. Not in the way you might expect. It's not so much about the other. It asks, how do I stay in relationship with myself whilst in relationship with life? How do I remain with my truth even when it feels uncomfortable? Some of the themes of libra is harmony, but not the kind that avoids. Not the kind that silences truth to keeps things smooth. True harmony is alive. It includes discomfort, it includes honesty, and it includes you. And the moon reminds us that you are not who you once were not the version of you nervous system was shaped around survival alone. You are not the version of you who believed your voice came lost. Who read others before reading yourself? Who chose Belonging Over Truth. Each lu Nation we know more, and perhaps you can feel more if you're tuning in and allowing yourself and possibly more resourced and this moon might invite some courage. Not to fix everything, but just to stay and be with it. That's the sign of a really healthy nervous system with an expanded window of tolerance to stay with a discomfort, to stay with the truth, to stay with yourself, to meet those parts of you that still believe it's unsafe, to be honest, to take up space, to choose yourself, and to gently offer them something new. Safety can exist here too. Oh, so as the moon shines her fullness, she will also begin to release soon, layer by layer, letting go of what is not aligned, not true and not alive. And she reminds us that we are allowed to do the same. We don't have to do it all at once, not perfectly, but honestly. So if any of this is spoken to you and you'd like a space to tune in and process, we have a full Moon Circle online on Thursday, the 2nd of April. In the UK it'll be seven 30 and I'll be. Opening space to take you into your thoughts, into your body. Doing this through the trauma informed lens so that we pace ourselves and we just go with what we are ready to release. Depending on your individual birth chart, some of these moons can feel really big and others are quiet, and I think it's worth experiencing each moon sign'cause they hold the potent medicine of each element. So if you have a lot of air in your chart, this one might feel really different to if you have a lot of water in your chart. But as you come to explore this lens, really for healing. You might just find a really nice rhythm that you can easily fit into your life because you can just look up and see the moon in her fullness and she'll just remind you, ah, perhaps that's why I'm feeling a lot at the moment, and it's okay for me just to take an hour out, tune in, be with other people, which is. Really good for the endocrine system. Getting the oxytocin here, the bonding hormones. This is what we used to do around the time of a full moon. If you identify as a woman, that's what we do in the red tent. Men actually need a little bit more space on a full moon. But obviously your unique blueprint and desires and needs, should be what you're following here. So thank you so much for listening. The link in the show notes to join us for that full moon ceremony and enjoy the light of that beautiful moon. Thank you a million times, Ava, for joining us on this podcast episode.
