Thank you so much for being here with us today. Sarah here with your Taurus Super Full Moon update. The portal is open. This episode's going to be a bit different because I've been procrastinating. I've been putting off recording this. I have been deep in wonder of what I should say Taurus is. An earth sign, and I really wanted to speak about Gaia, about Mother Earth, about the planet, about loving her, about healing her, and how that starts with ourselves. And I also feel a bit imposter syndrome because I want to speak about deep subjects like colonization and that deep wound that has bought and how it still plays out within ourselves. And I also feel like a fraud because I wanted to record the episode and get to bed because I'm up early for a flight for the weekend, and this is something that kind of goes against who I wanna be. I want to be a minimalist. I want to be super conscious of, I'm super conscious of my actions, but I want to take it deeper. I want to be so in alignment with my values that. I am proud of who I am, and I used to be a person that traveled a lot. One to escape life. Yes, for sure, through the trauma informed lens, but two Sagittarius runs through my sun and my moon and I learn so much through exploration of other lands and other cultures. And I really love to do that in a more aligned way. Not to just go to a place like I used to. I just, I used to go on holiday on the cheapest holiday I could find, and this is when I was in my twenties. I'm already going into the stories here. I hope this episode is interesting and reflective for some of your experiences, and also helps you, so I I'll weave in and out of this through my current lens as a trauma informed somatic practitioner and coach. But also, of that lived experience. I used to go on cheap holidays, 97 pound for a week in Greece, and I go with my girlfriends. I would truly have the best time. I really would. And I have such wonderful memories with. Those friends that I had great relationships with then and learning about the lands of other places and the sea and meeting people. But really I was going through my very. Colonized lens, go to get what I could get out of that holiday. Because basically I was in complete survival mode. I was in fight off light. I was so anxious, I was so wound up. I was in, in emotional pain. I needed that escape. So I would go to these places, I would go to these countries and I would take as much as I could, take enjoyment, take pleasure. Take the cheap things that you can buy.'cause the exchange rate is in your favor and that isn't how I want to live now, and that is not really how I live now. I go and really feel into what I can give to the land when I go to that place. And I'm such a learner at this still. I'm such a beginner. But what I've come to try to do is to not go on holiday anymore, but to just to travel and to be, a vagabond and this is to go and explore the land and meet the people and just be in a walking gratitude practice for a. Having the high privilege to go and do this when so many people, so many peoples and cultures are locked in and prisoners of their own land. So I just really wanted to speak to that at the beginning of this podcast and I'll delve into this more, but I'm gonna talk about the super. Full Moon Taurus is an earth sign, as I already said. Let me tell you, when the moon is full in the uk, it's going to be full on November the fifth at 1319 in New York, same day on 8:19 AM and in LA at 5:19 AM all on Wednesday the 5th of November. And. Taurus is actually ruled by Venus as well, the planet of love, beauty, and value. Let me remind you that the full moons are where the sun and the moon are opposite each other. So all of that sunlight is. Reflected off the surface of the moon and with a super moon, it just closer. The proximity is closer to the earth. So it amplifies both gravity and emotion, really pulling the tides, but pulling the tides of our heart. So you really might feel this one more in the body. I feel like I've said that a lot for the last episode. You're gonna really feel this one potentially, especially for those of you that have a lot Taurus running through your birth chart, Taurus really brings us back to the body. It brings us back into the Earthliness, the groundedness, the physicality of being a soul in a human body, and it rules the throat, the neck, and the jaw. So there's potential to feel tightness or tension or those things that you normally hold around the neck or the jaw or the throat. Perhaps we can take this moment to swallow, to drop one ear to the shoulder, to wiggle the jaw, to gently roll the shoulders to maybe hum. Sing sip a warm drink. Taurus is your voice and your voice is power, and that speaking our truth is an act of love. I feel that's what I'm delving into personally on this episode, but as well as full moons pulling up to the surface of highlighting that which we haven't seen, which is longing and begging to be seen and to be felt. It's also a moment of celebration and we can take a moment now already to drop in that frequency of gratitude for where we've grown and where we have spoken up and the things that we may have previously ignored that we have shone the light on and we've been working with. And I know that's you, soul sister. I know that's why you are here. These are the things at the time of the full moon, often those shadow aspects that come up and now we are in Scorpio season. She is the queen of shadows, the Queen of shadow work, Taurus moon that sits here on the 5th of November might just be that sacred Pauls are really. Strong one potentially that is pulling things out of the psyche right into the forefront here. Don't forget to take that moment. Could you place your hand on your heart here and bring some compassion in? I'm gonna be really going into. Healing the earth. This is really speaking of healing us as well. We see ourselves as separate from the planet, from Mother Earth or Gaia or whatever words that you love to use the natural world. We are that too. We are the children of Mother Earth and this is a chance here to think about those resources. How can we resource ourself at the time of a full moon, if we are feeling difficult emotions. I'm gonna invite us to reflect on natural resources in general. How have we used overused, abused and exploited nature? And I'm gonna be going into how that shows up for us as well. How we exploit ourselves and how we can bring that into healing because these moon phases really offer that, particularly the time of the balsamic moon. And that's when. The moon is in her waning phase. It's when she's going into the dark moon or just before, and balsamic is really balam bomb. It's that time of healing. So whatever's coming up now wants to be felt. And then as the energy starts to wan, we can really start to put practices in and healing in place to, to stop coping with pain and start healing it. So my training, my experience, my passion is on using the moon faces to look at the archetypes, to heal the body parts, to remember this natural rhythm which represented within us, particularly women in the menstrual cycles, this infradian rhythm, this 29 and a half ish day cycle that the moon travels around the earth. I am not an astrologist, but I just felt like I had to mention the three I Atlas, which if you are in that world, if you are listening to energy updates, if you are into astrology or perhaps even just science you may have come across three I Atlas and who I would signpost you to. Is Pam Gregory. She is a British astologist. You can find her on YouTube. That's where I get her updates three i Atlas is an energy that's doing a fly by past Earth. Some people have called it a comet, but I think it's it's a very unusual comet or different from a comet. And so we might be feeling even more than normal. But some channeling that has happened has said that there is a huge wave of love. Coming into the planet at this time, and let me remind you that those difficult things that come up on a full moon or any time of the cycle are not coming up for punishment or pain, but they're coming up to show you. That's a wound for me. That's a difficult part. That's a part I might have rejected or kept in the shadows or in IFS in internal family systems. This might be an exiled part, and so as it comes up. My loves. This is the time to be with it, with compassion, with curiosity, with kindness, and with openness. And that's why all of our space holding at the Holistic Health Collective is trauma informed because. We understand that it's not easy work, but we must come through to all these difficult things with kindness, with compassion, and this is a layered thing. We can say it and not really understand it in the body. The more we go through it, the more that we are dedicated and devoted to this practice of compassion. It has to start with ourselves, but we begin. It begins to unfold, and it begins to emanate, and it begins to create a ripple effect like aquariums. It loves that ripple effect when it starts with you and you meet your inner critic or your inner perfect inner perfectionist. With more compassion. I'm gonna be a bit kinder, I'm gentler. Maybe I'm acting that way because that's an inner trauma for me, that's a high stress point, that's a pain point. So I'll share some of the normal points that I share. I'll give you sole inquiry and talk about the and outta balance energies of Taurus. But I just feel I'm speaking. Even deeper from the heart on this one. So Taurus imbalanced energy, so celebration points for you. Patience, organized, supportive, romantic is again that ian energy, romantic, careful, dedicated Graves security out of balance, energy. Overindulgent, stubborn, lazy, vain, cheap or overcautious, and some of these words, cheap and indulgent. They're coming up because some people call Taurus the money Moon. Taurus craves security. The symbology for Taurus is the bull. And you see this ball on wall Street. In America, this is where the stock exchange the stock market takes it located. And so that bull has many connotations, but if we really think of that bull in the field, he is just chewing the cud and he really only gets protective when or hot and angry. Around the things that are important. So values really come into this moon, and that's why I opened this podcast talking about what I value. I really value the environment, nature is deeply important to me. It's always been a healer. I've always. Felt so held, if I'm feeling unwell or I'm going for a tough emotional time. If I get out to the woods or go for a walk, or now that I've moved to the coast, just listening to the waves. This is enough for me. I don't need to always offload or speak things through. But being in nature is such a somatic experience anyway. The hands running over the grass or the feet going into the water, this for me, reminds me that I'm a body. And of course, when we're going through hard times, we can really get into the head, we can get into the mind and, this is not where the healing happens. We can use some resources from the mind, and this is called a top down approach in therapy. This is where we might use positive affirmations or we might talk to our inner critic or counseling therapy, which are all useful in a mind centric culture, but they can only get us so far because a lot of trauma and stress. Started before we were pre-verbal. They started perhaps in the womb or before we could talk. And this is why we need somatic therapy, I believe. This is why it works so well is because we can heal through the body without even speaking. And nature is the perfect example of that. Taurus brings us back to the body, but lemme come back to money. Because money is energetic. It's part of Taurus's realm. We can forget that money is just simply energy. There can be so many attachments to it. So I find it a really good full moon to refresh myself, to look at the attachments I've got or the negative attachments there can be shaped by expectations and our self. Were so when we value ourselves. We become magnetic to abundance, and abundance is individual for everybody. It's not about greed. It's about remembering that energy flows where it's respected, but let's widen the lens. Many of us carry the generational trauma of colonization and capitalization systems that taught us to extract from the land and from our bodies. We would talk that worth comes from productivity, not presence, and that rest is laziness, not sacred. Many of the women that come to us are burnt out. They are highly anxious. They are using stimulants as a way to get them through. They're in their head and this is where we have been. This is where we're still doing the work on ourselves, Hannah and I. And they come because their bodies are now in pain or holding chronic dis-ease discomfort. And we feel betrayed by the body. We feel like we want to fix the body. We feel really guilty when we need to rest. We've got this long to-do list in our head and the body can't always meet that need or that meet that demand or expectations. But my dear, your body is not betraying you. If you are in this place, it is calling you back home. It's calling you because do you know when you are in pain? If you experience this when you are in deep pain? You are in your body more than your head, and that's what the body's trying to do. It's trying to bring you home. When we nourish our bodies, when we come back to listening to our needs and meeting those physical needs, we are actually nourishing Gaia and nourishing the planet. We are respecting that relationship. When we rest, we remind that the earth she can rest too, because. There's been this cycle of extraction from the land and then replenishment. That's what the seasons offer. There's growing seasons and there's I wanna say dying seasons, but I don't mean that in a negative way. I just mean in the way that. Things die away. Things stop growing. They decay, which is actually a beautiful word. It just means that we are de, we are composting now and we are regenerating the earth. But often now that word decay is coming to think of like gruesome and ugly and decaying. So your body is a miracle. Your body knows what you need. So under each full moon, we can ask ourselves, what am I ready to release? What old stories are here about work or wealth that no longer serve you I just wanted to speak a little bit more to this extraction from our bodies and how it might show up for you. So first of all we live out of sync with the seasons, we have artificial light. Once artificial light came in, we now live outta sync. Because we are working beyond our capacity, we are forcing ourselves unnaturally to work is stimulating artificial light. So we are overriding. The hormonal system serotonin, melatonin, cortisol, these lovely hormones that help us with our sleep and wake cycles, we're overriding it. So we're on more than we should be, and we can push through fatigue or those natural signals to the body when we should feel tired. We can override them now with caffeine, sugar, or little adrenaline hits that we get. We treat rest as a reward. I've really earned this rest. I've really earned this. Sit down. But it's a biological need. It's a biological need. So working late into the night, even if your eyes ache, you are overriding your circadian rhythm for output, right? So that's one way. Ignoring the natural rhythms, treating the body as a tool, not a companion. So you speak about your body as though it's letting you down if it gets sick or tired, and measuring your worth for your productivity. I've got so much done. I love to get those things off my to-do list, and I get it. I do as well. I. Remember, our mind is more optimistic about how much we can get done than our body. So we value that I got so much done instead of I felt really nourished today. I felt I went at a pace that my body appreciated and using willpower to override hunger or pain or emotion rather than responding to them as signals. The first signal, can you catch it on the first one and go I'm getting that little achy part of my body. I'm not going to press on. Now I'm gonna pause, even if it's four, five breaths. There's disconnection from our sensation because we live in the mind, we plan, we analyze, we achieve, and the bodies whispers go unheard. I'm getting really emotional as I'm as I'm speaking. And we numb out with our screens, with our substances or our endless doing doing. And these are all trauma responses. They really are. And we forget what genuine pleasure play or presence looks like. This is why play is really important. Thank God we have a Leo season to remind us of play. And actually we'll be having a Leo four Moon. In a couple of months, which will remind us about play. But pleasure, like Scorpio reminds us, pleasure is important. Another way that this exploiting of the body shows up is exploiting the body's energy reserves we run on cortisol. So many of us have cortisol addiction. I can actually feel this in myself as well. Adrenaline highs are followed by burnout crashes. And exercising punitively to earn food or earn rest. We skip meals. We under hydrate and our movement becomes goal oriented, 10,000 steps or three workouts this week. Rather than feeling connected to what that actually brings us, like for me now, I. That movement practice for me, gives me the freedom and the strength that I crave to move through nature and to, climb mountains and swim and to also hold others in my arms to pick them up to to hold them. And also that classic one is saying yes to everyone else's needs and abandoning yours at the same time. Yes, we can do this occasionally. We can pick the other up when they're fallen and we are not feeling our strongest. But if we learn to always do that it becomes a habit and it comes subconscious and it burns us out. And of course we value efficiency over embodiment. So multi multitasking meals, calls, commutes, never doing one thing at a time. Choosing productivity apps and time blocking over emotional check-ins, equating slowness with failure instead of wisdom. That is why these emotional check-ins or somatic. Embodied listening. These are things that I always do every new and full moon with our circle, and I actually do them at the start of every yoga class that I teach the start of every day in bed for me. How am I feeling? What's going on with me today and what do I need and what will I do about that? And also all the one-to-one somatic coaching. I do. This is the first thing that I teach everybody, and then we do it every single session. Become like a broken clock, but actually this is the thing that gets missed. This is how long-term change is created. And then I just speak a little bit to emotional extraction, turning every experience into content or output. So any of you, business owners or therapists might know this, can I make this into a post, a reel project performing wellness instead of feeling it. Constant self optimization, even healing becomes another metric. So I caught myself with this one, and I might make a post out of it, but I've decided to sit on it a while and feel it. Lily Allen's new album, west End Girl. Shout out, Lily. This album is incredible. I'm just not into modern pop music anymore. But I heard an interview that said she went there with the lyrics. She's unbelievably raw. And honest. And when you listen to the album, you can tell she's had some form of therapy because she speaks a lot to not in these exact words, and I might do an episode on it, but attachment theories and, trauma bonding really through relationships and she abandoned herself. And, I could speak to this on boundaries, but what she talks about is her husband having a double life and to addiction. And it really raw for me because I have experienced this. I've been in multiple relationships where my partner had a double life. Which is masking from addiction. There was drug addiction and there was other addictions involved as well, it hit really hard for me. And it made me realize, actually, to celebrate how far I've come with this, but I did want to make it into a social post and I thought, let me just sleep on that. Let me feel into that. Why would I be doing that? So yeah, it's been a few days in processing now. Anyway, I feel like I'm gonna take a breath there. I'm gonna remind you to do that as well. But yes, we are in this capitalist, patriarchal system and we are taught that our values come from production, not presence, and the same logic that extracts from the land. And so mining. Burning depleting. This teaches us to mine our own energy. We overwork our nervous system, the way that industries overwork the soil. How are you replenishing yourself? How you putting back into the soil of your body? Some points for integration. Rest is reciprocity. It really gives back to the body that gives so much. How can you invite some active rest or deep rest this season for you? And also pleasure is a replenishment. Enjoyment isn't overindulgence, it's repair. It puts us in ventral vagal in our nervous system, and it creates a harmonious state. And slowness. Taurians love slowness. Slowness is sacred. So when we move at the speed our body desires, we return to the earth's rhythms. A soul inquiry here. What would it feel like to let my body set the place? Ooh. And when I give so inquiries, I try and always add in this season because it most likely feel very different in the summer to the winter, and then all those nuance seasons in between as well. And the reason I feel a little bit like an imposter is'cause I really wanted to speak about land colonization and I don't feel educated enough. But I wanted to use my voice here and I wanted to speak to colonization has been going on for centuries and it still is, and there are deep wounds and we are probably all holding them in our codes. We're probably still holding them in our blood and in our bodies. But some cultures, some peoples are experienced this in the most horrific ways currently still. And my invitation here is to learn about that. I'm, I am learning, the learning process. And as we learn we can take action as well, so we can. Amplify the voices that don't have platforms. We can donate our time, our money, our resources to people that don't have them. And we get to be really honest about how resourced we are. I've been working on money wounds for a long time, and when I looked up where is my what in my personal chart, what signs have I got in my Taurus? Now I've got my Chiron. In Taurus, which is my, Chiron is the wounded healer. So I've got deep wounds around security and I did have a personal reading once and there was talk of, you may have earned, you may have owned land at one point. Your past and that may have been taken from you. So it's really important for you to work with the land. And that's what I've been doing. I looked at my values at the beginning of 2025. And environment in nature is so important to me. That's why I started growing food because I really value food that it hasn't got chemicals in. And I support, and I've spoken to that I support farmers. Go to your farmer's market, invest in those veg boxes that are spray free. Learn about farming, learn about how to nourish soils and what companies support that, and what farming methods support that and how you can support that because it will show up. as better health in your body. It really will. So inviting you to do that and before I was spiritual. I sat in a bath of water and I'm learning about the high intelligence, the liquid consciousness that water is. And I think I might have even said this on another episode, but it links and I think we need to hear things sometimes to remember them. What is my life purpose? And it said to grow food with children. And I was so confused because. I was in the medical profession and its just not what, I didn't even have a garden, but I'm slowly working closer towards it. This is like where the moon phases are so great. The moon practice is pace ourselves, patience. Taurus loves patients. Like I might still not get there for another 10 years, but I'm taking one step closer. I plant my garlic bulbs at the beginning of the month and I'm just learning. I'm buying books and, I'm learning about. Composting and all of these things. So I'm in my composting era. I'm really connecting with the land, and I can see that is showing up for so many of you as well, and so many of you got, secret gardens that I never knew about. Where you love growing flowers that you fresh cut and bring into the home. And these are simple pleasures, this very venusian energy. What are these simple things that keep you connected to the land that bring you pleasure? And so that might be taking your cup of cacao outside and offering a few drops to the soil. Deeply regenerative for the soil, but also just check that because. It depends what you're putting into it as well. And I don't wanna be negligent, I don't just wanna say this, I want us to all take accountability for our own actions. And of course, animals it can be toxic for them to ingest the theobromine, which is cacao Cow. So just think about the things that you're putting into the soil and again, and please know that our moon ceremonies are open now. We have got them open as a drop in so that you can come and experience these somatic trauma informed rhythms and connect with the community. They're so devoted to. Rebalancing the planet really through, through bringing this feminine practice back in. And I say feminine because the moon represents the feminine. The sun represents the masculine, and we love the sun, right? We love the sunshine, but we are bringing this back into harmony when we recognize the rhythms of the sun and the moon together and we.
