Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse & Guided Meditation (Ep.36)
Welcome to this episode on the second New Moon in Virgo in the past month. This time a solar eclipse. In August, we began with a new moon at zero degrees of Virgo. The very beginning of the sign you were planting your seeds in fresh soil.
Now we arrive at 29 degrees in Virgo, the final breath of the sign, this is a rare and significant moment because solar eclipses are entrance and perhaps exit points into new chapters of destiny.
Join Sarah who invite's you into some space holding. Sharing information in this podcast, but also be leading you into a guided meditation.

Yes. Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast of Wellness and Real Life Sisters Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we are gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath. And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more, more health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender, and more faith, and you want that for others too. So we can make this world a better place for us all to go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade cacao and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear to walls, more faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today. A warm welcome back to the podcast and the portal that is open of the New Moon in Virgo. So under this lunation, we again find ourselves under an eclipse, but this time a solar eclipse. And the second new moon in Virgo of this season. But we don't always get two new moons. or two full moons in the same sign under one lunation And this can happen because it takes 29 and a half days for a lunation for the moon to travel around the earth. And because the Virgo Moon landed at zero degrees, we managed to sneak another Virgo Moon in here. So let me remind you of the medicine of Virgo. She is discerning. She is whole onto oneself. She loves to serve. She loves rituals and routine, and she can bring a sense of gut healing. So I think it's really important for us to pause and do some reflection from that first new moon. But I just want to invite you into some space holding with me. So I'll be sharing some information in this podcast, but I'll also be leading you into a guided meditation. So I'd love for you to clear some space. Virgo absolutely loves, she loves clearing the clutter, getting, bringing that new Moon quality in of writing a new chapter. And we'll take some ti time to pause and breathe and feel into the medicine of this moon, but casting our mind back 29 days ago when Virgo entered, casting Our Mind back 29 days ago on that Virgo New Moon, and we've had a lunar eclipse in pisces since then. What's been happening within you and with outside of you as well. They say so is within, as with without. So what has been coming up for you? Did you put any practical steps in place to look after your body, to bring some easy habits into your daily life and your daily rhythm that felt supportive? Did any of those perfectionism traits that I spoke about being a stress response, did any of those creep in that you managed to catch and lovingly hold witness and transmute during the season? What was set in motion under that first new moon? Because Eclipse portals can be. Comic shifts, they can reorient our path. Often with speed, they can collapse timelines and sometimes with an intensity that feels larger than life. So how are you all doing my loves? Please drop me a message and let me know. But let's remember that new moons do offer a moment of renewal. They do offer a chance to pause, reset, and attune. And then from that space of the New Moon afterwards, the few days afterwards, we can put into action anything that comes into light. And of course, we always speak about imperfect action, especially if you've picked up on those perfectionism traits. Now through the trauma informed lens, I just wanted to speak about regulation and how much the nervous system thrives in rhythm and routines. There's a lot of buzz around regulation, feeling calm, feeling centered, and feeling grounded. And of course there is so much value in this, especially if you are carrying trauma, if you're in a state of trauma or high stress, it's really important to have that time to regulate, to remember what regulation feels like. And of course, the body heals when we are regulated. It heals even more when we are in the dorsal part of our vagus nerve, but we can maintain homeostasis. IE our body can go through its daily rhythms and functions in a healthy way. If we are regulated and our nervous system is rhythm based, it responds to cycles like the seasons like breathing, heartbeat. Circadian and indium rhythms, and of course, I just wanna come back to those words. Regulation. Our nervous system is meant to move through different states, so we're not always looking to feel calm, always looking to stay in our ventral vagus nerve. We have the ability to move into different states and therefore we meant to. If we don't respond to perhaps a threat, like a fast moving car or a loud noise that might signal danger, then there might be some faultiness within the nervous system. And of course, sometimes we need to go into pr, self preservation mode, which might be connected to that. Freeze shut down or phone response. And there's no bad parts. There's no wrong way to be when it comes to the body and when it comes to states. But what can cause potential issue is when we get stuck in a state, when we can't come back to regulation, when we can't come back to ventral Vegas toning. And so one way to potentially come back is through letting the nervous system know when something is coming through routines and rituals. A routine can reduce the need for constant choice, so you don't get caught in overwhelm with what? What do I do next? So this is gonna save energy. It lowers that cognitive load. Maybe you've heard of decision fatigue. We have so much choice, and what a wonderful thing choice is. When choices taken away, this can cause a trauma response. But routine they can, it can free up capacity for other things like healing, connection, growth, and creativity. So did you lay down any rituals or routines in Virgo season that served your health, that served your community, that served your creative projects or your business or your relationships? Inside the Holistic Health membership, we created a morning planner. We called it Three Minute Rituals to start your day in a positive way, and it includes journal prompts and tracking of the moon on the menstrual cycle, so you can get really in tune with what you need that day and you can take those practical steps to meet your needs. So again, just a lovely reason to. Connect with a community that is looking for that rhythm that is working with the seasons and is bringing that sense of healing into the body, not just through words, not through just listening, but actually pacing out, trying new things, and then finding that rhythm and routine with them. And one of our members fed back to me and said, I've been doing the morning planner and I'm really enjoying it so much. It's bringing such a sense of groundedness into my day. So thank you for the feedback. We love that. And we've got another chance under this moon to check in with what our needs are now. So as I record the podcast, we are just about to cross a threshold into autumn equinox, and so your needs might be changing. If you do connect with your digestive system and your nervous system as Virgo invites us to, what changes are necessary for you? Were there any signs that came up, any symptoms that just needed a fresh perspective on that, needed a little pivot or a change. There are some things that we could do for our health at this time to really allow gut healing or healthy gut processing. And again, these are all covered in the Autumn Health talk that our naturopathic nutritionist, Hannah offers inside the membership. We also have another free resource, a blog on this. So if you head to our website, holistic health collective.co uk, we have an Autumn Equinox blog and we speak about nutrition in the blog. If you wanna take a step closer and actually do those practical action steps with community, we would love to welcome you in through that seven day free trial that we're offering in the membership this month. So just a few days to grab the seven day three trial and check out those workshops that might really support you through the darker half of the year. So let's take a pause. Let's put down and step away from the words. I'm going to invite you into a meditation, just a few minutes, a break in your day. So if you can sit or lay down and if you can close or soften the eyes. Let's connect with some cycles within the body connecting with the breath. And what's beautiful is you are breathing automatically without thinking. Your body's taking care of that through the autonomic nervous system. So perhaps sensing some gratitude or this miracle really of the breathing happening without you thinking. And let's take a moment to breathe with more conscious focus, feeding and nourishing yourself with your inhale. Breathing in to the lower lobes of the lungs, filling up and expanding the body, and then without any effort, just letting go of the breath, feel the air, leave the body. And watch until the very last drop of air has left, and then start to feed yourself again with your next inhale. Just notice what you could soften when you breathe out next, and what a wonderful thing that you're doing in this moment just to focus on that life. Giving energy that moves through you constantly, the breath cycle, and as you keep breathing, as you keep letting go and softening on your exhale. Let's take a moment to pause and recognize the season that we're just about to enter on this Virgo New Moon, autumn Equinox. The gifts of this season are a time to slow down, to loosen your grip. To begin to let go of things that no longer serve you. This might be thoughts, ideas, it could be stories, practices, ways of being. So as you keep breathing, keep focusing on the exhale as a way. To let go, to loosen and relax the jaw, to let the shoulders soften and feel heavy to let the belly be soft. To let go of control and know that everything will carry on working just as it needs to. It's an incredible thing when we try to take responsibility and give things guidance and control, but just notice where that might have gone into. Too much control. Notice where you can pay attention, paying attention to detail, but not in the pursuit of perfection. And remember that you are part of a bigger structure. You are just one leaf on the tree. One strand on the web of life that you have an incredible part to play, but you don't need to hold or play every part. And again, with the exhale, just seeing if there's any load that you can shed. Thank you for taking this moment in time with me. Just take a note, another moment to scan the body, listening to any feedback from within. Whether it's simple feedback like you might be slightly thirsty or hungry, that perhaps part of you is slightly tired or fatigued or then that is a force moving within you a direction, clarity, an answer, an idea. Let's just give whatever's coming through a breath a moment from creating that inner knowing what 1% step could you take to meet that need. You don't have to do everything all at once, just one step So thank you so much for joining me for this sacred portal, this rare opportunity to revisit Virgo and the gifts, and perhaps any challenges that arose for you in this season, and I look forward to seeing you for the next Fall Moon. Bye for now.
