Yes. Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast of Wellness and Real Life Sisters Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we are gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath. And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more, more health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender. And more faith. And you want that for others too. So we can make this world a better place for us all. So go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade cacao and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear to walls. More faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today. Welcome to this Pisces Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse with me. Sarah, let's start by taking a breath and reminding you of your body. Let's become present. I'm going to be sharing so much information with you in this episode that can really help healing, healing of the body. Emotions through a spirituality lens on this lunation nation. There's a lot to share, but I'm going to remind myself and you of pacing, which means just taking the one thing that's gonna help you step forwards into more alignment under this moon. So just take what's for you my loves and take that breath with me. Let's fill up our lungs. And the exhale as these little points on the cycles of Lunation remind us to pause, to go inwards to check in. And this is not just any old lunar cycle. It is a threshold moment. It's a real time when endings and beginnings weave together and when long hidden. Truths might come into the light and when we're invited to release, surrender and trust even deeper than a normal moon perhaps. So as I mentioned, this is a Pisces Hormone Moon. And it might hold a softness and a dreamlike quality. However, it is eclipse season and eclipses aren't always gentle. They can really shake us awake, illuminating what we need to let go of. Not just to give us a rough ride in life, but so that we can step into a new chapter with a sense of lightness and clarity, authenticity, and alignment. So it is happening this, four moon on the 7th of September at 7:09 PM in London. And as I said in this episode, we are going to be. Jumping into what real healing is versus spiritual bypassing and how to celebrate yourself under this full moon and what to let go of. This eclipse full moon is also known as a harvest moon, I really love linking it back to the Eightfold Wheel of the Year. I like to live my life more in line with the natural rhythms of what our ancestors did and for all our ancestors. This was the moment of gathering the fruits of their labor, ensuring survival through the dark months ahead. And maybe you felt that in the air. Maybe you've noticed the nights are getting a little bit longer. There's a need for an extra blanket or a little lighting in the evenings. Our ancestors, they would've worked tirelessly by day and even into the night. And this is why it's the harvest moon.'cause they'd have more light under the full moon. And this would help them to harvest the fields and take the veg in and have an abundance of food around. And so it is an ideal time for you to get really present with your life and your health under this full moon. And a normal inquiry that I would check in with under this moon is, what am I harvesting? What have I been working on all year? Internally or externally? What do you feel is sustaining you at the moment and your community? Are you flourishing? Are you floundering? Are you surviving? What must you lay down so that you can move through the darker season of the year with a little more, lightness, and trust. And I wanted to share, this is my favorite time of the year, although I tend to say that whatever season I get into, because I can really see the gifts, but they're also challenges. If you answer the call to go inwards in the darker half of the year, then you may find that you fall in love with that season and you really enjoy your life at that time. But if you just try to carry on. Like it's the summer or it's the spring. This is when we get out of alignment and out of balance, and I'm gonna share just what I'm gonna be doing. I'm answering the call to go on an ancestral healing journey by walking the lands of the UK and visiting various places that I knew some of my forefathers, my fore grandmothers would've walked. I don't know lots about my family history for many reasons, and I'll probably share in other episodes to help you to uncover when you know your roots, it's like a map, isn't it? And you know where you are going. If you know where you've come from, you've got a bit direction of where you are and get clarity on where you want to go. So I'm going to be heading to Wales, to Ireland, to Glastonbury, to Darbyshire, perhaps to Cornwall. I'm going to be holding ritual. I'm going to be doing despatchos, if any of you know what that is. It's an offering to earth. I'm going to be learning about my family history and also honoring the challenges that they went through, particularly my Irish ancestors and what they would've gone through, relating, I suppose genocide and starvation and separation. Segregation in community and separation from spiritual practices. And so if you are interested in learning more about your family history or ancestral healing, we actually have a few sessions within the Holistic Health Circle membership on this. I've done meditations on ancestral healing, and we've got soul-centered workshops on this. But I really wanted to get back to living in line with the seasons. And so when we are out. Of balance with the darker half of the year IE we're trying to press on and not honoring the body's needs for rest or more nourishment or more inward time. You may compromise your immunity. You may find your nervous system frazzled, and in autumn it can really show up as anxiety, nervousness, unsettledness. And we are really focusing on immunity and nervous system regulation, as always in the holistic health circle. So our September masterclass is with Hannah, our naturopathic nutritionist, and she will be focusing on foods and natural medicines to support you. And I will be holding my sessions, movement sessions, breathwork sessions, also to amplify the powerful effects of the immune system so you don't get to Christmas, feeling absolutely burnt out. And then wake up in January wondering why life is so hard, which has happened to me before. And. It's normally the time I get a lot of call from clients saying, can you help me? I've reached a rock bottom. And because it's a cyclical thing, because our health and our healing is cyclical, I'm giving this information now for you to start getting some minor adjustments in place so that you can start to support yourself before we go into those harder months of the year. And so what are you doing? What can you do if you're interested in learning about nutrition or movement? Or even doing that inner work or that trauma-informed work, ancestral healing, this is how we can support you in the holistic health circle or even one-to-one. And I'll be sharing more about, a very powerful container that I'm opening this winter. Let's get back to. Eclipse season. We need to share a bit more, but we did in the last episode. Talk more about eclipses. We are in a lunar eclipse for this full moon. In astronomical terms, a lunar eclipse happens when the earth moves directly between the sun and the moon, casting a shadow across the moon's face, and symbolically eclipses are portals of fate. They happen twice a year, but can feel dramatic, deeply symbolic, and then we are really reminded of the cyclical and mysterious rhythms of light. So let's just pause for a moment because. You may be feeling in your body, or you may have a certain area of your life. Maybe it's work very challenging. Maybe it's a family member, family members, plural. Maybe it's an internal struggle with, I don't wanna use the word your own demons, because. There are no bad parts as, Richard Schultz reminds us of the work of Internal Family Systems. There are no bad parts of us. There are just parts that have to protect us and perhaps we've outgrown those stories, but we haven't let go of them. And that's why we work with the Full Moon in our containers because the full Moon is a time when we can, release. We can let go. We can surrender and we can clear the way so that we can write a new chapter of our story. So if this is an intense eclipse season for you, I just want to say I hear you. I see you, I feel you, and you are not alone. You really are not alone in this is your nervous system saying this is too much. Remember, Virgo season, which we are still in, the sun, is in Virgo. And we're sandwiched with this full moon between two Virgo, new moons. We spoke about how to read the nervous system and how to work on healing. That is your saying. This is too much. Now I've got to the full moon. It's all coming to light, so I just wanna remind you it's okay to step back. You are not failing if you need to ground rest or disengage. Take what supports you. Like I said, take what, is speaking to you and leave what doesn't. You don't have to pick everything up. And that's how we keep this process safe and trauma informed in our containers. We can't do it all. We really can't. Your energy is not limitless. Okay, so take what serves you at this moment. Now, Pisces medicine. Pisces is. The dreamer, the mystic, the meditator of the zodiac. Its gifts are imagination. Imagination is hugely important and powerful. Intuition, compassion, and a deep spiritual knowing. But like every sign, it has its shadows. What I wanted to speak about the symbology, also known as the glyph. It's the two fish swimming in the opposite directions, but they're joined by a thread. You might not have noticed that before, but perhaps you're thinking of Pisces as the fish. And this reminds us we carry our own duality, the longing to dissolve into spirit, and yet the need to stay grounded in human life and the connecting line is our lifeline. The reminder that in all this movement between realms, we are still one. We are still a human and we are still a spiritual being. And when it's out of balance, which you may feel or find or see through others in this Pisces Full Moon, this Pisces Energy can show up as like a self pitying avoidance or escapism. Hands up, anyone? I've definitely been there with the escapism and there's no shame here. Remember, these were techniques, coping techniques for survival in a very. Difficult or challenging environment or situation? Well, one of the ways it can show up in spiritual communities in particular is something called spiritual bypassing. You might have heard of this before. I'd heard of it, but I've been studying it and I'm noticing where it shows up for myself and my clients are, be quite specific broadly. Spiritual bypassing can be like, when you say everything happens for a reason, when someone or yourself is going through a really hard time and you are not holding space for them to feel that hard emotion, the grief, the pain, yes, everything does happen for a reason, but hold on, let's not bypass what's there. It also could show up using meditation or prayer to numb instead of process. It could be clinging into positivity, happy mindset while ignoring pain, trauma, or injustice. Let me get a little bit more personal, like how does it show up? In particular for the group of clients that we are really supporting at the moment, which tends to be around the time of the perimenopause before and after. Yes, as well. So you can always do retrospective healing if you are past, menopause. So say for example, you're getting hot flushes. Really common one. Disrupted sleep. We spoke about this, a few episodes Black. I highly recommend listening to, what to do when you are experiencing insomnia that Hannah interviewed. A lovely lady on that one. So if you're struggling with sleep and fatigue, if you are quite spiritual, you might just say, oh, it's just an energy shift. You know, I'm just riding the waves of it. Instead of seeking support, rest or medical help. And how it shows up for you is you keep forcing yourself to keep up with perhaps old self-care routines. Maybe before you hit perimenopause and you just wanna get back to that old you and you're not adjusting for your changing energy and you just say, I can push through'cause I'm strong and I've got this. The other ones that we get are mood swings. I mean, changing moods is absolutely normal, but it can feel like we are fine one moment, and then absolutely raging the next, that irritability, that grief over aging of, you know, losing our youthful body or life-changing situations. And so with all of these emotions. In that spiritual bypassing, we might dismiss them and just focus on gratitude for what is good. I'm just gonna be grateful for the good things. Yes, be grateful for the good things, but recognize what is present for you. You might go into journaling affirmations or tapping with affirmations to override the feelings instead of sitting with them and moving them through the body or talking them out. A combination of both. The other one is anxiety, so this is where we change season, particularly from summer into autumn. We can have a sense of higher anxiety or throughout certain stages of the. Menstrual cycle and the hormone cycle. Anxious knot in the belly, inability to settle. Absolute overwhelm where you can't make a decision. You're just spinning round, you're getting brain frog. And what you might find yourself doing is you create a ritual that you think calms you down, such as lighting, incense, pulling a card, doing a 10 minute meditation whenever there's discomfort arising. Believing that this should in quotations, fix everything whilst ignoring the body's call for practical support like nutrition. Perhaps you need more protein, hydration. This is an easy one, ladies, that we pretty much all, not forget, but we could probably do better on this one. Or needing therapy and not seeking it. So we are not adjusting our daily habits like that. We are just going to the cardpool. And these might actually sub support balance a little bit more. And the other one. When you're feeling like joint pain's, a really common one with some of our clients. Changing of stamina, your pacing, ability and feeling exhausted. yet. You keep saying yes to your family commitments. Community work needs and you keep neglecting your own rest or nourishment you hand this over and say, I love to be in service. The divine will give me strength, but you are ignoring your body's signals to rest. So any of them sounding familiar? PI's energy is asking us not to escape, but to embody, embodiment, to bring our spirituality into the raw, tender, imperfect human experience, and that is where the true healing lives. So yes, absolutely. Do your meditation. Do your card pulls like your incense. Do them in an embodied way. Notice when you're trying to get out of your body and your difficult experience and it's okay. I've got used to saying when I dissociate, it's okay that I'm doing that. I'm aware of it now. What could help me to stay in my body? Okay. And celebrate that journey of noticing. Celebrate the journey where you did put those rituals in place and they did serve you at some point.'cause if you're not recognizing. All of the struggles and, wonderful progress that you've made, this journey will just be thankless and cause burnout. It will cause resentment and it will cause, you to want to escape the life even more if you're not celebrating. So that's why we come to Full Moon Ceremony and we always take a moment just to reflect and notice how far we've come and also be in gratitude of where we're at.. This is a going to be a big move for releasing. Absolutely must take that time to consciously release. And what might you release under a Pisces Luna Eclipse? Well, what you need to release will override any suggestions I make. So whatever's true for you, your experience trumps everything. But we are in a collective energy of PIs the weight of obligations that aren't owls to carry. Self-sacrifice or martyrdom that drains you. Perfectionism, which I spoke about in the last episode, all the belief that we must hold it all together. Illusions or fantasies that keep us stuck in denial and definitely release energies, relationships, or expectations that no longer serve the person you are becoming. And with every release, there's an invitation to lean into trust, to open space for intuition, to soften into faith that you are held by life itself. I will speak about the body parts that are ruled by this full moon and every full moon. I lead my community for a somatic check-in or an embodied listening practice, and Hannah will share about the body parts under the influence of the moon and how to naturopathically, nourish them. Pisces rules the feet and the toes, and let's think about what the feet do in a little bit more detail. They help us to be grounded and balanced. The toes help us to be balanced. They have a purpose in propulsion and shock, absorption when running, walking, and jumping. They help distribute weight, provide stability, and contribute to the push-off needed for movement. And additionally, they pop, they play a role in sensing the ground and relaying information to the brain. For balance adjustments known as proprioception. If you've been to one of my yoga classes, you might have heard me use this word. Proprioception is knowing where your body is in space. It's like a sixth sense, and it helps us to know where we are and what to do with our bodies at any given time. So for example, if you're walking and there is an object in the way, then you'll know how to move your body around that. And I have to say any accident prone people out there, Your proprioception may have been compromised, particularly if you are, holding unresolved trauma. One of the ways that I was holding it was, I was losing my sight when I was younger and I didn't get glasses when I needed them. And I was only young, so my nervous system was still developing. And sending these signals to the brain that didn't always get there.'cause I couldn't see them, I couldn't see the obstructions in the way. So my proprioception is a little bit off sometimes, but I can really support that when I come into a more embodied practice, when I slow down and pay attention more and take my time and say I'm worthy of,, slowing down. Proprioception becomes, more available to me. And so you may wish to do this, this season by connecting with the ground beneath you, by wiggling your toes, walking barefoot, allowing the earth to hold you, but particularly because Pisces is a water sign. I don't think I said that already. I mean, that's significant because. Moon is queen of the emotions and moon pulls. The tides, pulls the very body of water on the earth. So if you can get into a body of water, if you can run a warm bath, have a swim, or place your feet in a bowl of warm water with salt, it could be profoundly cleansing. Salt is cleansing in itself under this eclipse. Offer soul inquiries, every podcast, but I dive much deeper into these in the moon ceremonies. And these have been a big portal of healing for many of our clients. It really gets them to think and reflect and using the mind can be a powerful tool in healing. And then we keep bringing it back to the body as we do our somatic check-ins, and we do our tracking as well, our body health. But my so inquiry for you is what might you be clinging to under this eclipse? What is time to lovingly say goodbye to where can you celebrate forward movement? And where do you need to celebr render to the divine, trusting in timing beyond your control? So thank you so much for listening. I hope this eclipse season is bringing forward what you feel ready to face and ready to release, and remember to resource yourself, all the tips we are giving and all the other tips that you've got from your community and your inner knowing and trusting the pacing. You don't have to do it all under this full moon. Taking your time, taking your breath, wiggling your toes. Reminder that endings, they're not failures, but they're sacred thresholds into what's next. They're turning the page on your book. And I wanted to share about some ways that I'm supporting women this autumn and winter. We've got the holistic health circle doors open, and we don't normally do this, but we are offering a seven day. Free trial. So check out the show notes. It means you get to come to the full moon ceremony and the next new Moon ceremony. And we also have all the recordings of every live session so that you can catch up on them. And we'd love for you to sign up and pop us an email and say, what is it you are looking for? So we can signpost you to the most profound session that's going to get you started on your healing journey. And I am also opening up my one-to-one held at the healing scene. This is where you get to come and stay with me at my Kent Coastal Retreat apartment, and I take you through trauma-informed healing, so I get to blend my skills. For you. We do a full consultation of what it is you need from this time and we follow up with integration as well. So it's a really important part of healing that often gets bypass. Perhaps you've gone to a powerful breath work or plant medicine ceremony and it unveils quite a lot for you. Shakes the nervous system up, and maybe even helps you to feel. Super calm and clear, in that space holding. But afterwards, when you go back into the environment, back into the community or the family, and friend network or work. All of a sudden you find it's too hard to ground all of that. So I always offer integration sessions online so that we can just make sure that you are moving through a safe and steady pace for you. So if you are interested in knowing more, please drop me an email or a personal message. How it looks is you'll get one or two nights. So it really depends on your schedule, but it's actually the same price. But one of the days is. Fully held. So I'm with you for the day. We'll do a consultation as you arrive, and I'll be making you Ayurvedic plant-based meals, which are suited to your dosha or your constitution and your taste buds. And then we'll work out what. Sessions would be most powerful for you at the time that you are in my space. So for some people it will be reiki. Others it's yoga and breath work and cacao. It might be sound healing or massage. We've even done art therapy, but you actually get, five sessions within this, time that we are together. So if you want more information. It is on my website, balanced body wellness uk.com. But it's a personalized experience, so I'd love to hear from you if you're interested. And the other amazing offer that we still have open is a silent retreat What I'm really inquiring for myself and my clients is what is underneath the words and what is underneath the stories and the habits that we create around trying to avoid our difficult situations. What's underneath politeness,'cause a lot of our clients have said, oh, I couldn't come. I'm too much of a chatterbox. Or there is talking. There is talking. There's an opening and a closing circle. And absolutely if you have an inquiry while you are there, if something's really coming up for you, then you get to come to Hannah or Hailey, who is our certified sound healer and she's a nutritionist and she's just a wonderful woman. Haley of heartfelt sound healing. She will be there alongside us holding space in Kent in January, 2026 under the New Moon. And if something comes up, of course you come and reach out to us and the silence is an invitation. It feels like, sometimes we come into these spaces and it's like an institution where we can get things right or wrong. That isn't the case, and that can be really healing in itself. To know that however you come is okay. Of course, if you are going to be. Talking the whole time and distracting from others' experiences. We would hold you, in a different way and ask you what's underneath that, but we can't wait. The space we are doing it in is absolutely beautiful dedicated retreat space with, a sauna. A cold plunge and a meditation room, and a beautiful yoga space as well. Oh, I can't wait. So if you need something to keep your health pace, you think in January I do tend to get a little bit frazzled or ill or burnt out, and you need a space to just be you, then that is definitely the space. So the early bird running for that at the moment, it's on our website. Or again, drop us a message and we'll send you all the links. So look after yourself. Remember, we're still in eclipse season. There's still a solar eclipse to come do. The simple things stay hydrated, and I'm just sending you so much love and compassion. So enjoy your spiritual experience. Enjoy your humanness, and I'll see you for the next New Moon in Virgo. Thank you a million times, Ava, for joining us on this podcast episode. You can support the show by giving us a follow on any podcast platform you're listening to this on. If you already follow us, then thank you so much and maybe share this episode.
