Speaker View & Screen Share:Welcome to the portal that is open of the Sagittarius for Moon, also known as the Strawberry Moon. And this is Sarah from the Holistic Health Collective. The Sagittarius Moon, I'll be talking about the medicine. I'll be talking about the history of gathering under the full Moon, the opportunities of healing available for you, and we'll be looking at some soul inquiries as well. But let's talk about when the Full Moon is in London. It will be on Wednesday, June the 11th at 8:43 AM. You'll feel this energy on the lead up to the full moon. As I this, it's the 9th of June and I am feeling this in my emotions and in my body in a huge way. So I'm gonna invite you just to pause, and yes, you may be listening, but asking you just to feel what is true for you in this moment. What can you feel deep in your bones? What is your energy feeding back to you and your emotions, the language of the soul? What are they communicating with you? Under this full moon, as I record this, I position myself on a desk, which is in front of a mirror, and I've done this purposely because it can be very uncomfortable to look at our reflection. But this is what the phase of the moon the foreman can do for us. It pulls to the surface. It helps things to grow and to rise so that we can see more clearly and we can see more under the light of a full moon. Last night I was lying on my bed. It was Sunday evening and my cat was snoozing on one side of me and my husband on the other, and it was warm, so the window was open and I have a grape vine, where the tendrils are just. Working their way inwards towards the bedroom, away from the, the garden. And it was such a moment of deep beauty and deep gratitude. So I just lay there watching the moon, which was rising above the rooftops, and it has a pink glow to it at this moment. So it really, does look like a strawberry moon at the moment. When we see the fullness of the moon, we can just sit with what it it, what is it pulling up within me. And in many indigenous cultures such as the Mohawk and the Lakota women would hold full moon ceremonies called moon lodges or moon circles. You may have seen them in your local community called red tents or moon circles. And this was to honor the feminine cycle and grandmother moon. And there were sacred and often linked with menstruation, storytelling, healing, and rest. And there's a reference from, teachings from indigenous elders, by Lucy Pierce who says, for generations, indigenous women have gathered under the full moon to connect with grandmother Moon, honor their cycles and share wisdom in sacred circles. This tradition reminds us of our deep cyclical connection to nature because we are nature, right? And if you've listened to the podcast for a while, if you've been in one of our healing containers, you know that we work with our inner cyclical rhythms and the external ones as well through our Ayurvedic and naturopathic teachings, and through our menstrual cycle awareness, teachings as well. And so I've spoken before about when I record the podcast, if I'm in my luteal phase or my ovulation phase, or my menstruation phase, how that affects my confidence, my ability to gather my thoughts, my ability to communicate and voice them out. And I think it's really important. In fact, I know how important it is through witnessing other women tuning into their cyclical nature. When we know thyself and when we know what we need and we follow through with that by taking actions to meet our needs, everything can change. Our perception of the world can change, our health can change. The way that we show up in community can change. And so inviting you to track, if you're not already tracking the moon or tracking your inner cycles, start to do that. And that is when we hold you close in our container, in the holistic health circle, where we take you through each season of the year and we offer you what. How nature can help you in that season. You know, as I record this, in June, we walked towards the summer solstice and this is a natural time of detox for the body. And so if you have this information and you know what's coming, you can start to put practices in place that can really support you. Making sure your detox pathways are clear, knowing that you might need more time to rest and validating this, creating space in your schedule. And if you can't, then just little micro practices, like five belly breaths starting your day with this just to help lower cortisol levels. Going outside and getting those morning sun rays into your eyes again, just to help the dance between our hormones, melatonin, cortisol, our stress hormones, our sleep hormones, our hunger hormones. And so knowledge is empowering, but action taking will move you forward. And here's a fun fact about the full Moon. As I say, it pulls things to the surface. It helps us grow. The New York City actually rises and grows taller on a full moon. The gravitational port of the moon. It causes the earth's crust to bulge slightly. This is called earth tides or solid earth tides. And this vertical movement can be up to 20 or 30 centimeters in some areas, depending on geology and the moon's position. And so. You'll see this again, mirrored in the tides of, the oceans as well. We have the neap tide and the spring tide, so just a few days after the full moon and I go down to the beach where I live in Kent, the tide will be so much higher. And then also it will spring back. It will go almost what feels like miles out. You think you're gonna go down for a little swim or to put your feet in the water, but the tide is so far back, you'd need to walk for about 30 minutes to reach it. Or maybe that is an exaggeration. And so again, this will be happening within you because you are nature, not just part of it. And so we always invite you and remind you to look at things like. Your hydration around the time of the fall and the New Moon particularly, we have an amazing container, completely free of charge. If you're not ready to come into one of our paid containers. We always like to support you and empower you with information, which is free. And so we talk about cellular hydration around the time of the perimenopause and how changes start to happen within the body and the hormone dance and why. Your hormones will affect your level of hydration and how to change that. And so we have a free download, which is a five day challenge called Back to Balance, the Hormone Balancing Challenge. And so this is self-guided and self-paced. We did a live one at the beginning of the year and we created an incredible community and welcome more people into our circle. If you feel like you want it gentle and easy in your own rhythm, go ahead and check out in the show notes the link to the free download. And honestly, the results that we got from this were outstanding. We asked people to scale their energy from zero to five. On day three, people had moved from one to four on the scale and they just couldn't believe how much more energized they were just by doing some of fact finding, missions and implementing some tiny changes, but consistently within their practice. So there we go. I've spoken a lot about nature, but let's get into the medicine of the Sagittarius Moon. The themes for Sagittarius, for Moon, and I just wanna add, I'm a Sagittarius sun and a Sagittarius moon, so I feel this moon hugely within my body, within my being. It's about freedom and expansion. I. Truth seeking and high wisdom, and as all food, four moons are about letting go of limiting beliefs. Four moons can also invite us into a moment of celebration as well as that mirror work and that releasing part of the cycle. So there is an opportunity to receive a medicine of play and travel and laughter philosophy, and there's very much a fire energy attached to this full moon. The medicine of this four moon in Sagittarius is bold, fiery, and clarity. It asks us to speak truth from the soul, to dream bigger and let go of the fears that keep us small. My soul inquiry is under this full moon. How are you feeling? The fear? How does fear show up in your body, in your mind, and how does that play out in life for you? Sagittarius reminds us that the world is wide and that joy can be your compass. So ask yourself, where have I outgrown my own story? Where am I ready to expand? And so if you normally just listen, maybe pause and write that down so that you can journal on that or sit with that with your breath. Where have I outgrown my own story? Where am I ready to expand? And I wanted to speak about fear through a trauma informed lens. I used to use that saying, feel the fear and do it anyway, but I really don't do that so much anymore. Feeling the fear is important. However, it can re-traumatize if you already hold unresolved stress and trauma. Fear is a really important emotion, feeling message. If we didn't feel fear when we were standing at the edge of a tall cliff, we might just go ahead and walk over it. So fear really signals to the body. This situation might be life-threatening and can invite you into a fight, flight, freeze, or fallen response so that the nervous system reacts appropriately to the fear that is presented. So I just wanna pause and thank my body. Thank your bodies for activating a fear response. But let's talk about it. In terms of being, living in modern day life, there are perceived threats at every term living in a city, just, experiencing loud noises can activate a fight or flight response within the body'cause they can be quite damaging to the auditory system. Looking at media, yes, we need information, but it's accessible. 24 7. We can light in our own beds and witness genocide and war and, starvation and. Hoping that your home is a safe place and that your body is a safe place. This perceived threat and real threat can create a stress response within the body, which doesn't have anywhere to move or go. You might look at this information and then hop straight into work and be on. They go all day long. So you really don't have a place or space to process some of these emotions. And this is a chemical reaction when we experience the nervous system's fight, flight, freeze, or fallen response. And so if the chemical reaction doesn't get an opportunity to finish, and we'll see this in nature when animals, um. Like when you see an animal, which is a predator going after its prey, and the prey actually survives and outruns the tiger or the bear, and it will shake, it will release somatically, it will go into trembling or shaking. And so if you feel the thing and you don't get an opportunity to respond with your body in a way that regulates you, this fear can keep playing out within you. So it might be next time you pick up your phone or you'll hear a ping or a ding on the phone in and you've been watching that news on your phone. Then you might hear, you might feel a stress response within the body, which is on loop all the time. And so what I'd really invite here is an awareness practice is great, but we need to create a safe space in the body to get into face mode. Usually we can do this through supportive communities, so finding safe places, or we can do this through some in somatic and embodiment work. So this is my area of expertise. This is what I do inside the holistic health circle, and I do this one-to-one as well. But inviting you to find.
what feels joyful, easy, and expansive for you in this season of your life. So my little full moon wellness practices for you, just make sure that you are fully hydrated. Take some time to notice what's coming up for you for healing. So this means just checking in with your physical symptoms, your emotions, and your energy, and how you are connecting with community and what it is that you need under this form to feel your most nourished. So if there are challenges coming up, there might be a lot of highly activating energy that really needs support. But also to pause and notice the beauty, the celebrations, the ways in which you are fully embracing life. This Moon really does ask you to expand your dreams, and generally we can only do that by looking at the fear that we hold and transmuting that. Notice how that fear is showing up for you and getting the support that you need to regulate enough so that you can get into face mode and transmute some of that fear. So thank you so much for being here. I hope that you enjoy this full moon and sending blessings to you, and I'll see you for the New Moon in Cancer in about two weeks time. Thanks for listening. I.
