A warm welcome to this Taurus new moon, we are inviting you to take a deep dive into this Taurus medicine. In this episode we will cover how to expand financially and heal your body so that you can access the pleasure that is your birthright.
And so we get to experience this new moon in London on Sunday, April the 27th at 8:30 PM reminding you that new moons represent new beginnings. It's this point in the moon cycle where we don't see the moon in the sky. There's less stimulating light, and this is an invitation for you. Yes, you, to review your life, to go inwards, to check if you are meeting your needs, and particularly on a Taurus moon, which is an earth sign to check in with your body and your health.

In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. Thank you so much for being here with us today. A warm welcome to the portal that is open of the Taurus and New Moon, and I'm inviting you to take a deep dive into the Taurus medicine with me. I'll explain in this episode how you can use this new moon to expand financially and heal your body so that you can access the pleasure. That is your birthright. And so we get to experience this new moon in London on Sunday, April the 27th at 8:30 PM reminding you that new moons represent new beginnings. It's this point in the moon cycle where we don't see the moon in the sky. There's less stimulating light, and this is an invitation for you. to review your life, to go inwards, to check if you are meeting your needs, and particularly on a Taurus moon, which is an earth sign to check in with your body and your health. So you got through airy season, you got through the fire, did you get burnt? How are you doing? And so I'm just gonna invite you if you've got access to look at nature in this moment in some way. If you can look out a window, if you can step outside or if you are already, or just pay more attention to the nature around you. So here in England, in the uk where I am right now. Life is in bloom, not for bloom yet. That will come later in the year. But there is an abundance of greenery and bud starting to come out, and this is a huge pleasure for me. So receiving that from the senses. Of sight, but noticing how it lands in your body. So whatever you are witnessing, and perhaps you don't have access at the moment, and you could perhaps just look at your hand or part of your body or someone else's. A chance to remind you that you are nature too. You're not just part of it, you are it. And is there something there that you can feel grateful for or witness some beauty of your body or someone else's? The medicine of Taurus is really rooted in the beauty of Earth and you are part of the elements. I've just finished my Ayurvedic chef training and the core principles of that teach us that we are made of the elements and we really feel that heaviness. Sometimes we can really feel the humanness of. The earth element within us, and this moon can invite you into some somatic tending. So I'll talk about what that means if that word is new to you and how you can really offer your body some healing under this moon, as well as, financial expansion or feeling into stability of your finances. So what does feel good for you in your body right now? So often can really sense into what feeling a little bit off or what's feeling a little bit difficult, and those things should be paid attention to. They are wonderful signals from your body. Although they may not feel wonderful, sometimes they're signals from the body. And in my nervous system training, we learned that interoception are the signals that our bodies send within. So this might be like the rumbling of the tummy. If you are hungry, it might be feeling like your blood pressure is slightly off and you are feeling a little bit lightheaded, or perhaps you're feeling some sort of nervousness within the tummy if you feel anxious or you feel unsettled. But let's go a little bit deeper than that. Let's just notice those really subtle cues of satisfaction, of comfort and pleasure that tourists invite us into. And what evokes pleasure within your body is different for everyone. There is no textbook on this, although, I must say when I was young I would read, teen magazines and they will tell you what pleasure was. And I have to say, as I've been a. Embodying my own pleasure. It's not always in alignment with what the, the movies, the books, the magazines tell you. And it can take courage sometimes to own what feels right for you. So what does feel right for you? What feels good and what feels pleasurable under this moon? If your body is in a stress state. And let's face it, really the way that we live modern day live in does cause a chronic stress state. For so many of us, we have to seek the joy, seek the pleasure, make time for it, give gratitude to it. So if the body's in a stressed stay, if your nervous system is dysregulated, you might, this might be showing for you as a fight flight, a freeze. State, and this is what I go into teaching in my. Nervous system or trauma healing container called feeling wholeness. And what I help women to do is to access more pleasure, more confidence, more trust in their body by learning to regulate themselves. So it's not wrong that the body goes into a stress state, it's very normal, but to stay there for a longer period of time or stay there for weeks, months, years. Means we fall into chronic dysregulation. This can show up as, chronic pain, immune system dysfunction, illnesses and just not feeling good, feeling stressed out, feel, feeling hypervigilant, feeling on edge, feeling anxious. And as I say, sometimes you might feel like that. It's when we get stuck there that the body needs that extra support. And so how do you seek that support? What makes you feel rooted, grounded, and safe in your body? You get to explore that under this Taurus New Moon, and I'll be giving you some tips as well on how to embody that. So often we think about a life that looks good from the outside. But what actually feels good for you. So I wanted to share a simple pleasure of mine. You're probably really gonna laugh at this story but I've mentioned before with our new moons, sometimes we do a manifesting list and we get to think about where, what direction we wanna take our life in. So years ago, my life wanted to go. Change locations and move to the coast and change careers and have a life where I had a garden that I could tend to and have pets around me as well. And I've been lucky enough to manifest all of those things. But not without some background challenges. The things that you don't see on social media, but we love authenticity here at the Holistic Health Collective. So I'm gonna share some of my very distressing story of moving. So say, be careful what you wish for. So be crystal clear when you set your intentions inside our membership, the holistic health Circle, we shared the sort of manifesting 1 0 1 and it's not, I wish, or I hope, but. It is you desire and how that might feel for you to receive that, how it actually feels in your body. And then we take you through the process and each moon on stepping closer towards that in a way that your nervous system can handle. That feels regulated. But yes, it was very dysregulating for me when I moved locations for many reasons. Starting a whole new career, jobs house, and we didn't sell our property. When we moved from London. We rented it out and we were managing two mortgages, a house that needed a renovation or the apartment that we live in, switching jobs, much lower paid retraining, all of the stuff. And the place we moved into didn't have a washing machine and it didn't have any plumbing for it. And so we lived without a washing machine for a whole entire. Yeah. Okay. So we did clean our clothes. Of course, there are a means to do that. But one of my simple pleasures is washing my clothes and putting them on my line outside and seeing the clothes dry on the line, being naturally dried by the beautiful wind and the sun and the elements. And then getting into those clothes or those bedsheets and smelling that fresh air on them. And that is my simple pleasure and I've been told by other women that they love, lying dry in their clothes as well. So I know that may seem like a strange one, but it is it's a real joy for me. my other simple pleasures, like I'm sitting here with, a loose leaf herbal tea, and that's something that really slows me down, that helps to regulate my nervous system rather than rushing around and then drinking that lovely herbal tea that will support my sleep or my nervous system to feel at ease and comfortable. So inviting you to write a list of what your simple pleasures are. And really pursuing them under this moon as well. And this moon really wants simplicity. Taurus loves simplicity, and really nature does offer us that. So one of the health tips for this moon would be to practice grounding. And there are so many. Benefits, many researched and documented benefits to grounding. And we used to walk the earth barefoot. And now we may not be able to do that because we have tarmac, we have pavements, we have sidewalks, and along with that comes, dangers of cutting our feet or discomfort. So grounding is when our feet touch. The bear earth. So this might be the garden, the grass. It could be a park, it could be the beach, the sand. It might even just feel like running a bath and popping your feet in and just really feeling the elements of the water on your feet and grounding can really discharge energy. It's very anti-inflammatory for the body and it really deeply connects us with nature as well. So just try five minutes of that if that's not possible for you. There are other means of grounding, and this could be by getting a grounding sheet for your beds. So they're easy to find online and again, they're quite research the benefits of those. So you, that's to help you sleep. And one of the other health benefits that we can look under a Taurus moon is Taurus rules the throat. So ladies that are looking at their hormone balancing, this is one to think about your thyroid, your throat chakra, and keeping this area healthy. this is gonna be more bespoke for you, looking at maybe family history, looking at, your history. Perhaps you've been prone to conditions of the throat. And this is a chance to really nourish it under this new moon. And this is what we're taking a deep dive into our new moon ceremony inside the holistic health circle. for those of you that are really looking to take small, manageable steps to improving your health every month, we do this inside the holistic health circle. So Hannah and I have little. Different roles within the membership. So Hannah's our naturopathic nutritionist as she holds our higher awareness sessions, and I do most of the somatic yoga and nervous system regulation. Practices, but we join forces on the new and the full Moon and all of our community come on the sessions live. So we get to co-regulate and we get to share, our triumphs, our tribulations, and we get to witness each other, which is a huge part of healing and transformation. And the important thing about meeting each moon is it hasn't been three or four months between we. Learn something new and forgot to put it in practice'cause it felt overwhelming and life got in the way. But we get to meet every two weeks and check in and just course correct if things are not quite working out as we hope they would with our intentions and we get to be realistic about that as well. So let's talk about using finances to support and nourish you in ways that feel right for you. So sometimes a bit of an. Subjects, something perhaps you don't talk about with your friends, or perhaps it's something that you feel like there's more month at the end than money, but really inviting you to think about defining wealth and health and finances in a way that serves you. We can't get away from money. We do need it to exist, and often thinking about our self-worth is co connected to our finances. So it's simple things really are you being paid? What you are worth? Are you checking your income and expenditure? Does where you spend your money align with your values? For example, if your health is important, are you using your money to feel healthier, to feel happier, to feel more connected with your body and your life? How could you have a little clear up in the area of money in your life? It might be really simple like just cleaning out your purse of old receipts. It might be having a conversation with someone you share your finances with, just to make sure that you're both on track. It might be having a talk with work about. Perhaps getting a pay rise. We might be using positive affirmations and mantras that support your self-worth. Things like I am open to receiving more financially. I use my, my. I use money to support my health and I'm worthy of living a healthy life. I am walking into the wealthiest and healthiest version of me. So I really love using positive affirmations and mantras, but Taurus being an Earth sign does ask us to be practical. It asks us to be slow and steady. Any intentions that you set under this new Moon, do try and promise yourself to take those small actionable steps to bring them into manifest, to make them real. So I was really excited to share with you that I'm gonna be taking a little bit of time off this summer. I promise to keep sharing the new and the full moon information with you so that you get to keep tracking your experiences and walking closer towards a healthiest version of you. Last tour New Moon. I was in Italy. I was in my favorite place in Italy, which is called the Chin Terra. The fives. The most beautiful place in my heart and I was manifesting. I've been manifesting to spend a summer in Italy and really be with the land. Take my time with it, not just be a hop in and hop out visitor, but take some time to make a deep relationship with the walking paths there, the people to watch the sunset and the moon rise and become really familiar with that landscape. And so I'm really excited that I've manifested that it is happening this summer and. You know when you get to do your shadow work with every full moon, and then you get to connect in with your intentions. Every new moon, you'll also start to really see, and perhaps you already are working closely with them, those things that you thought were never possible really coming to manifest. And if you are noticing that perhaps there is a little bit of dysregulation or your health is standing in your way, I just wanted to reach out with some one-to-one support. So my somatic work that I support people through is usually a 12 week container is called Feeling Wholeness. And this is really about us being able to hold feelings that we called, feelings not met. Feelings like, irritation or, anger or anxiety. Not bypassing those emotions, but learning how to feel and regulate them so that the pleasurable feelings that needs met feelings. You can also hold those as well because what I learned through my trauma-informed trainings is we can say, I just wanna feel good. I just wanna feel healthy. I just wanna feel happy. But the body, you are human. You are meant to feel this full range of emotions. And so I teach women how to hold those emotions, how to heal through them, regulate them. And really the, you are experiencing them through the body, not the mind and so many, and we've been taught really to think our way. Into a better state, to change our better state by thinking ourself a certain way that can get us so far. But it is the body that holds your feelings, your emotions, and walks you through life. When I spoke earlier in the episode about those magazines I used to read as a teenager and probably as a young adult that told you, pleasure looks like X amount of orgasms and all of that type of thing. We can really believe those things that we are told in print or through the media. And it takes a lot of courage to really just step into your own story.
