Yes. Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast of Wellness and Real Life Sisters Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we are gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath. And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more, more health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender, and more faith, and you want that for others too. So we can make this world a better place for us all to go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade cacao and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear to walls, more faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today. A warm welcome to this space with me, Sarah, and I'm going to be speaking about the portal that is open of the Lior Moon in London. This is happening on the 13th of April at 1:22 AM and we get that full moon energy for around three days. So that'll be about a day and a half before and a day and a half after the, after the 13th of April. In this episode, I will be talking about how this moon can support your hormone health, your sleep, healing of relationships, and harmony on the planet. So subjects here, so grab yourself a drink, get yourself comfortable or tune in, and let's dive into the healing that's open for you on this full moon in Libra. So let's start by saying liberal is an air sign. So this allows for that moment of transition, perhaps with greater ease or potential overthinking. And what I'd invite you to do is if you listen to each episode, you'll notice each astrological sign is an attached to an an element, air, fire, earth, and water. So the last new moon that we had was in a fire sign. What was going on for you? What was the quality of your thoughts? How was your physical health? How were you showing up in the world? How are you moving through it? Same for the air sign. Now, we are honored to hold space for women every new and full Moon in our online membership called the Holistic Health Circle, and we always start the ceremonies like this, what's going on with your physical health? What symptoms have you got? How kind is your inner critic? What's going on with your thoughts? And we build up this picture of what's going on and there are always patterns and rhythms and. Inside the holistic health circle where we hold these ceremonies, we work with women and we take them through naturopathic health where we look all the way back to sometimes their childhood to see what patterns have been present for them. It might be things like. You get a lung infection, which shows up every winter there's a pattern for you. It might be the time that summer comes around, your anxiety heightens a little bit and there's a pattern for you. So there tends to be cyclical patterns with our health. And the cyclical pattern of the Four Moon asks us to look at. Things that no longer serve us, so perhaps potential challenges that are showing up with us are coming up for healing. So we get to do something different under this hormone moon, and we get to create the awareness as we tune in, and then we get to take one actionable step or more, depending on your capacity to heal this under this moon. And something about Libra moons. I really love, I love the theme of harmony and balance and justice that Libras mean. This really is a portal for relationship healing and embodying inner harmony. So what does that feel like in your body when you feel I balance? Libra desires a peaceful connection, so she offers that port of healing in relationships. The glimpse or the imagery for Libra are the scales, the scales of justice. So there's a real quest for balance and equality under this moon. So I can't wait to get into this subject with you. So let's invite. Breaking free of limiting beliefs and old stories that hold you back from living a life of your healthiest. So I'm gonna be offering some soul inquiries. We are talking about hormone balancing. I'll inviting you to step into the circle to be really held in an intimate way if you feel ready for big change in your life. Yeah, let's take a breath. I've just had my ceremonial cacao. And just to give you context, I think it's important that I share my cyclical rhythm. Last time I recorded the podcast it was one day before my menstrual cycle, sorry, before my bleed. I was in my pre menstruum. I didn't know this because I'm in the perimenopause and my cycle was much shorter this month. I did feel like something was off. I felt like I didn't want to record the podcast because my energy felt low and I didn't wanna put myself out there. Now as I record this one, I'm in the ovulation phase. I've been to the gym this morning. I've done a HIIT workout. I feel quite vibrant and full of energy. Maybe you can hear a change in my voice. I don't know. But this is how much a hormone cycle can really affect the way that we want to show up in the world. I was trying to be consistent with the way that I show up, but really we are cyclical beings and our hormones can really work with us. To show up in a certain way or they can work it. They're never working against us. Let me rephrase, because our body is always trying to support us. But when you are ovulating, you'll have more estrogen and therefore meta more testosterone in your body, and this really is inviting you to go out in the world. If you look at it through a reproductive lens, then it is inviting you to go out and get. Fertile, right? You're fertile. So it's invite you to get pregnant. But I'm a woman without children. I am actually choosing not to have children this lifetime. But what it can mean for me as a business owner is that I can show up with a little bit more stamina and a little bit more energy, and perhaps I'm feeling a little bit more fearless and a bit more flirty and fun. And when I come into that pre menstruum. If those hormones fall off, progesterone goes up and progesterone can help you to feel perhaps a little bit calmer and a little bit more inwards. So just sharing that as I track my own cycles. What goes on for you? Because when we track, we invite women to also track their menstrual health cycles, and it might be that you just, for me, I might decide next time I'll batch record the podcasts and I won't do that when I'm in my pre menstruum. And so what does that look like for you? And the Liberator Moon, this is quite a big opportunity for healing relationships. Under this Moon Air Signs asked us to look at our communication. The way that we communicate with ourselves, so that inner critic or that inner a cheerleader, perhaps what's going on with that mental activity internally that no one can see, but will affect the way that you move through the world. But also how can we get in more harmony with our communications and through the lens of partnership. Traditionally I, I'll speak through my lens and I am in a relationship with a male. I'm a woman. I say partnership, we. We are married, but not in law. So we are married in love because we've had a hand fasting ceremony. And looking at the, how a partnership serves you, that was the way that it really served to come into deeper relationship for me. I didn't wanna go down that classical route at this time in my life, but when we communicate with each other. In my household, when we're very familiar with someone, perhaps we can be a little bit short, or perhaps we have expectations on each other, and so this moon is an opportunity to pause and just reflect on that. If things don't feel in harmony, how could you speak with more peace, more clarity, or perhaps with more kindness in your relationships? I think re romantic relationships can really be huge containers for healing because we can often mirror each other's triggers, and this gives us an opportunity to either feel like the wounded victim or to sit with that. Come into compassionate conversation with that part of us. How am I showing up? Could I level up in a different way or could I communicate with my boundaries and say that I'm not comfortable with this? Or, there's such an opportunity for healing and relationships under this moon, but often it can feel challenging with notice as we hold space for women in the holistic her health circle. Four moons can really be quite activating sometimes. So this is why I feel it's really important for like-minded women to join together in ceremony and ritual and take that sacred pause where you can just check in with yourself and see how regulated you are. See what your nervous system is telling you to tune in with what it is that you need at this time of the cycle. And often it could be something really simple we'll just take 10 guided breaths together. Perhaps we are tuning in and notice that our sleep patterns really disrupted at the moment and no wonder we're short tempered or no wonder our energy is a bit low. Or no wonder that health thing has flared up with us and. The reason I get really excited around Four Moon is because you can see her in the sky, right? She's, she's there, she's more visible. And I get to look up, I live by the coast and I'll often go for a stroll, a moon, a moon bathe, and I'll just look up and we've got quite expansive skies here and really just take the energy of the moon in. But what I wanted to say, I wanted to speak about one of our sleep hormones, which can be affected by the full moon. So melatonin is one of our sleep hormones, and there was a research done by the National Institute of Health between. The relationship of the Full Moon and the menstrual cycle, and it actually says at the time of the full Moon melatonin levels were significantly lower. And what does that actually mean for you? It means lower evening melatonin may potentially disrupt your sleep patterns. It could mean it takes longer to fall asleep. It could reduce deep sleep and it could mean a shorter. Total sleep duration. So why is this important to know if you know this information ahead? If you've tuned in and checked in and you know that the time of the full moon, or for some of you that might be the time of your menstruation, that your sleep might be disrupted, it means you can put things in place to support you. So does that mean when it does for me, backing off the caffeine for around three days? It's just a big no-no for me, it just, it will really interrupt my sleep. At the time of the full moon. Does it mean perhaps going to bed later and you could stay up to do something that you actually enjoy? Perhaps a bit of crafting or mindful coloring or breath work or some gentle slow yoga og or just a nice magnesium filled bar. Does it mean that if you know that your sleep's gonna be interrupted, that you could put little micro breaks into the day so that you can, although you may feel really tired, you'll have these moments where the pressure's off of you and you can just connect with some deep belly breaths, or you could look at some foods that might support you more. So bringing in some super foods that might give you an energy boost if you've got a lot on your plate and you're unable to change that. So when you start to work with the moon, you really get to look at your, your sleep cycles and just make those little changes that can really help your overall health. It can help. Your quality of life. We all know that when our sleep is disrupted, it could be like a form of torture, right? So you get to look at that when you work with the moons, and that's one of the the favorite ways that we like to work with women. We always encourage extra hy hydration around a full moon and increasing your magnesium intake. So one of my sole inquiries for you on this moon is do my actions align with my values? So this is really tied in with the justice system of the Libra Moon. If there is dissonance, how could I bring more balance? So just to give you an example, I'll speak about health because that's what we are all about, right? A lot of people were saying, my health is really important to me because when we. When we're not in good health, or let's say when our health is imbalanced, out of balance, it really affects our work, our relationships, our happiness levels. So if you value your health, but perhaps you've been suffering with chronic pain or chronic illness for. Weeks, months, years, decades, and you haven't taken any actions towards coming back into balance. Perhaps you've taken lots of information in, but you haven't actually taken any action steps or haven't asked for support, or you've put other people's health in front of yours, or you've put work in front. Then there's some dissonance here. Maybe this is connected around. Your beliefs about your self worth, your time, your financial situation, but what could you do under this moon to bring your life into more resonance, into more balance? Something that our, the women in our world absolutely love, myself included, is nature. I put nature really high up in my values, and we get to look at things like. How are we supporting nature with our purchasing power? So are we buying from companies that are really careful about the way that they look after the planet? Are they giving a percentage of their profits to to charities that support the environment? Are they using resources and materials that are renewable or. Causing as little harm to the planet as possible. Do they have their rights for workers? Are they supporting indigenous cultures or native people? And is there fair pay here, fair wages, fair trade, or other companies that we are buying from? Big, faceless. Corporations that are destroying the planet. So I'm gonna leave that inquiry with you, but just think about your values and the way that you show up in the world and just use this moon as a way to gently bring yourself more into balance. So let's talk about some health tips for this moon. Each astro, each astrological sign rules different parts of the body, and we've got a really beautiful free download to which moon supports which body parts so that you can just uplevel your health. You can learn a little bit more about the each moon, and perhaps just bringing in one new, healthy, supportive ritual for it. And Libra rules, parts of the body that kind of come in pairs and it rules the kidneys, which are located around the lower back area and. If you are prone to things that the kidneys affect, like urinary infections or lower back pain, this could be a really good moon for you. So the kidneys like staying warm. So simple practices like sipping on warming ginger tea to really hydrate and flush them out. You could give them a beautiful stretch by going into a child's pose and perhaps lying with a blanket or a weighted blanket on your lower back. You could just give your kidneys a gentle tap to. Awaken some energy in your body, or you could rub them if you feel overstimulated, if you feel like there's a bit of cortisol or adrenaline response in your body, then just taking your hands to your lower back either side and just gently rubbing them creates a little bit of warmth and creates a feeling of self comfort, self-regulation. So that's a wonderful part of the body to focus on under this moon. So I'm really excited to be holding you in ceremony for your transformation under this moon, inside the holistic health circle. So if you want to go deeper into the, so inquiries into the Medicine of Libra and to shed old versions, outdated versions of you, then we have opened the Holistic Health Circle for new members. So welcoming you in. If you'd like to find out more, check out the show notes or go to our website, the Holistic Health Collective slash memberships. The information's there. I think it's really important just to remind you to pace yourself. Like four moons can feel quite stimulating. They can feel quite exciting, and so just remember that we've got 12 or 30 moons each moon cycle, each astrological year to work towards balancing our health. Walking towards the highest version of you. So there's no rush, my dear. Take your time. And just to remind you of the importance of connection under a full moon. So for centuries, women have come together at the time of the Full Moon. You might have heard it called the Red Tent. And this is to really satisfy our need for bonding. So releasing that chemical oxytocin, also known as the chem the cuddle. And even though we do it online, we often do popup events in person as well. We always go into gallery mode on Zoom, and we just witness each other. We are all here. We're all going through a. Our own stresses and our own celebrations and it's really great just to, to see the humanness of everybody, to know that you are not alone and to feel a sense of community and community healing.'cause it can feel a lot of pressure if you feel like you'll be. You are the only cycle breaker. You are the one, only one showing up to shared old habits or old versions of you. So it is really important to remember that you're not doing this alone. And so that's why we, we are so passionate about bringing women together to do this. And four moons are a time to really stop, pause, and celebrate any steps that you've taken forward. So if you set intentions on the New Moon, this is a time to see the progress that you've taken or to course correct. If you have your sight set on a goal and you find it's out of alignment or it's out of resonance with you. Now the foreman Moon can be a time to course correct. What we like to do is take imperfect action. Like I said before, it's almost one of our slogans. Just because you said you were gonna go for this thing and you now haven't in quotations achieved it, it doesn't mean it wasn't for you. Perhaps it's. Attached to a different timeline, or perhaps you just need to shift your perspective on something or just take a sideways step. And it's really important just to pause and not just keep going regardless, but to make sure that things feel in alignment with you, that they feel in balance for your life. So it is been beautiful having you listen, really welcoming. Any comments, any feedbacks, any reflections or any celebrations for you under this moon? We have got some important sorry, some exciting things happen inside the Holistic Health Collective. On the Ridge New Moon.
